Congratulations to President elect Trump and VP Elect Vance.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I saw some factors in emswayment, eg, perception
of threats posed by illegal aliens, dissatisfaction
with inflation. But opnions of the Cheneys?
Never heard a peep from anyone about them.
Oh I heard tons about them, from the left.

Uninspiring makes sense.
The poster's claim that doomed Harris doesn't.
Among other things.
I presume you didn't watch Gabbard's video...so I will post what she said in that video. Quote.

"I can no longer remain in today's Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,"

Nice quote. I would though, bet that we can all agree that uncritical support for the police represents a potentially great jeopardy to our basic freedoms. Many in blue are criminals.

Instead of blaming "America," perhaps you should look at your party. I can't recall the last time an incumbent president was defeated after their first term and returned in the next election to defeat the same players that defeated him in the previous election to serve a second term. I think that says something about the current state of your political party.

The same was said about Republicans in 2020 and 2022. They doubled down on their messaging and did very well this time around.

I do think Democrats should go full on progressive and stop playing the centrist game.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Sure, but that us not the corporate reality I am talking about.
I don't know how old you are, but I can tell you the reality is particularly present in Pennsylvania with the steel industry and what had happened when they ran away overseas , and what the resulting devastation has brought to countless homes and families.

Nominate a candidate who is more qualified and instills confidence in people that they can do a better job as president than an unstable criminal?
You assume those who voted for Trump did so with reason and data. They didn't. The only rational option was the vice president.

And in what way is Trump qualified to be president? He has a history of being inept and self-serving. He is suffering from mental degredation. And he is a criminal. I've not read any Trump supporter offer an argument for why he was the better option. He has no plans to make the cost of living lower, have you not noticed that?
And it may help if the democratic constituency would stop blaming the voters and realize the real issue that caused their party to lose the presidency and the senate.
The voters are to blame when they demonstrate poor judgment in selecting Trump. Who else is there to blame, their parents? Society? Voters are responsible for their decisions. And responsible for what they allow to influence their decisions, like disinformation.

These have been explained to you many times over the last couple months. You refuse to acknowledge that.

It was a nail biting and historic election.

Hoping to see life get better in the next four years. Heartfelt thank you to all fellow Republicans and true Blue Dog Democrats.

All Americans at the end of the day. Let's pursue our common goals as a nation.
Honestly, last night was like Christmas Eve to me. I was up until 5 am, just enjoying myself. I'm feeling more optimistic about the future. My coworkers and I are looking forward to hopefully having more money in our checks.

On 9/23 Harris said she supported getting rid of the filibuster to pass abortion legislation. So why shouldn't the republicans do this to restrict abortion nationwide? (They won't because Trump said he would not) But what is the argument against this?

There were attempts to explain, but they lacked any sound reasoning. There still hasn't been any Trump supporter offering a defense to what makes Trump a good option. I think it's safe to expect more inept leadership this time. The difference is he will hire people loyal to his wishes and the two terrible agendas. I doubt Trump wll be able to maintain a high approval rating. Most voters cited the economy as their primary concern, and what does Trump offer to help the average citizen? Nothing. Is tariff plan will be a disaster long term. Even Musk admits citizens will face hardships.

I suspect most voters were so terribly informed that they have little idea who Trump is and what his ineptitude will cause.
