Congratulations to President elect Trump and VP Elect Vance.

I too am not stuggling at all. But many of my neighbors are, and the Ds did not talk to them.

What was all that about stopping price gouging then?

In any case no President is going to bring down existing prices to previous levels. And Trump will not be an exception. What is needed is pay rises for those that need them, and the Harris campaign did talk a lot about supporting Unions. Which incidentally is not a Republican thing.

If someone commits a crime that reflects on their integrity or suitability for office, before considering them for the highest office in the land, it would be prudent to wait until:

- they've paid their debt to society, and
- have shown some indication tbat they've changed their ways and will do better in future.

I agree; was not talking about the candidate.

Um...are there more conservative voters now than there were in 2020? Because not only did the democrats lose the presidency; they also lost the senate.

Let me mention something called 'sorting". The number of right wing (not all conservative) people has not changed very much, but they used to be scattered around the parties a lot more, or apolitical. Now they have all (mostly?) come together under one banner. Trump's greatest skill has been to get all these people riled up and pointed in one direction, to his own benefit. Democrats don't seem to be so good at it, and their cats remain somewhat unherded. A lot of hard thinking will, I hope, ensue.
