Consequences of converting from Islam

Question to an Atheist. If someone rapes a little girl would you think its wrong? And if so where did you learn that from? Because your morality had to come from some source.
No, actually they should marry:

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

Well we are not technically isolated, that view comes from Atheist themselves and believe in pressure.

May you perhaps reword that? It is coming in a rather cryptical way.

See I was a atheist myself and learned that theres no such thing as a coincidence and always believed that everything happens for a reason, just like when you put bread in the toaster the reason behind it is to eat it. I have another question then. Do you believe everything happens for a reason?

No, I don't. It is an odd belief for an Atheist to have, btw.

Seeing as several others have answered your question to my satisfaction I propose a counter-question:

Imagine a society in which believers in a personal god are a minority, where almost everyone you meet are either non-religious or in fact atheists.
Then, on the other hand, imagine a society in which believers in a personal god are in the vast majority, and where almost no-one is an atheist.

Now, which of these two societies do you think would do better on a moral scale*?

*For the purpose of this question let's say we use things like crime, violence, and murder statistics as our measuring stick.

If we were perfect we wouldn't need a savior would we? And how can you say that christians are doing wrong when you have no morals in your life. Unless you borrow them. I dont think myself highly better then anyone but i do say my father in heaven sees what i do. You are no one to judge and have no control over peoples decisions. No offense but Atheist are very confused people. That i bet that when the time comes to a near death experience they will call for some sort of help. Maybe even Jesus. But why? Because the confused people have no idea what's next after this and because their natural instinct is to call for help.

What a load of hypocritical and self-righteous crap!

:biglaugh:

I am not really angry, but you do sprout rubbish with that entire reply of yours. Which is why I am actually laughing.

Obviously, you have not met a lot of atheists. Many of my relatives are atheists or even agnostics, and they have no confusion whatsoever.

They may not believe in God or Jesus, but they are not in any way confused over their morality. In fact, they have more moral than most average Christians, without the need to show off they are morally superior to everyone else.

You are generalising with this whole "confused people". Like or not, you are JUDGING. Jesus taught you not to judge and not to persecute, but you are judging right now. This entire thread of yours is to judge Muslims, is it not? But when non-Muslims and non-Christians reply (like atheists or agnostics) here, you are judging them too, in what you suppose - without even knowing what they make think or believe - about their morality. It is hypocrisy; it is your hypocrisy.

It is this sort of high-handed attitude and hypocrisy that I have encountered when I was in my late teen from Christians who have tried to convert me that I have not converted to any of the Christian sects.

How can you judge whether an individual atheist is being moral or not, when you don't know what his or her lifestyle is?

And how can you say that christians are doing wrong when you have no morals in your life.
You sure don't know me, that's for sure. Do you seriously can say I am immoral, to me, without knowing me?

I wasn't judging you at all, but what I did state that there are more convicted Christians in prisons, in the state of Florida, which I assumed is where you are from (because of your location), than any other religious groups. There are far more Christians in prisons than atheists.

Check the statistics if don't believe me.

If you think atheists are so moral than atheists, then did you also know that in the US, the divorce rate in the US, Christians (24%, or 3% higher than atheist %) and born-again Christians (27%, or 6% higher than atheist %) is higher than that of atheists (21%). Combining them both Christian groups together (25.5%), they would actually double the number of divorce than the atheists (21%).

I suppose I should not be surprised, but I am. An entire thread in the Qur'anic debating section and not a single Muslim, and only a single reference to Islam past the first post. Is there a good reason why this thread is infested with annoying posts which are completely off-topic? And yes, arguing that Atheists have no morals is annoying, even though I do not identify as one.

I have a pet peeve of people who use statistics in a clueless way, as you did just there. You can't add percentages like that. If we could, then I could say that 100% of Christians are human, and 100% of born-again Christians are human, so combining them, 200% of all Christians are human. That should strike you as wrong.

You're right. It was stupid of me. I don't remember all I've been taught about statistics, which was over 20 years ago, back in high school. Not my favorite mathematical topic.

The percentage is not double, but about 25.5% would be right number.

Leaving most Christian religions is fairly easy at present. There are some exceptions like the case of the Davidians in Waco, Texas, some Mormon sects and some other sects where power and control extend to breaking US law.

Long gone are the days of the Inquisition where people would be put to death for "not believing" in a prescribed manner.

I would like Muslims to educate me on the consequences of converting from Islam to another religion or to atheism and your views in the matter.

Thank you!

Truth is, we all have a philosophical view in life, even naturalists. It's based on your subjectivity.

I think society No. 1 would do better.
I am not an atheist myself, but I see that often religion is an excuse to deny people (women in particular) rights that others enjoy.
And if I look around I see that those countries paying less emphasis on religion often have better quality of living than those countries where religion is an important part of social life.

I agree, and we in fact have the data to show that this is the case. :)

According to the Qur'an there is no earthly punishment for Apostacy unless the Apostate seeks to cause trouble in the Muslim society.

The hadith are different of course as there are examples of people being killed for Apostacy, but from what i have been told in the past the Qur'an is the point of reference and not the hadith,if the hadith contradicts the Qur'an the hadith is wrong,of course culture plays a hand here too.

If the truth in your heart is not able to see Islam than you were never Muslim in the first place!
If you took the Shahaddah it is best to see that just like anything else in life you commit to -it is best you realize that this is in your heart & the ways of which you will always live.
If this is not you-than do not become Muslim. Try embraceing it first. You would not want to wear shoes that do not fit if you were told you must keep them on always...RIGHT???

What exactly is the definition of trouble here?

This is a moot point and each culture will have its own take on it but i guess if you left Islam and started proselytizing another religion i think you would soon be in trouble or criticising Islam i think would be another that would mean a punishment.

The quran didn't say there isn't punishment. So there is not contradiction.
Such hadiths are in the two sahihs ( al bukhari and muslim) which are believed to contain only correct hadiths.
Speaking of contradictions, the quran itself has verses that contradict others. Read about al nasikh wal mansukh (abrogation in quran)

This is something I do not understand:
How can God first reveal something and later take back his own revelation?
