That means, it comes down to if reasonable people outnumber the Trump base. (Hence the "optimistic" frub.)
I’m pretty confident they do. But will they vote?

I'm not claiming any.You first by all means. I insist.
Only in the swing states. The vast majority of states are already decided for the EC.That means, it comes down to if reasonable people outnumber the Trump base. (Hence the "optimistic" frub.)
Give us some examples of what you think are good sources of information, and also of what you think are bad.My contingency plans would be to prepare for a successful come back of the USA. That means it will be time to invest and buy some retirement property. This will create optimism, which is not the friend of the DNC and Swamp. They do better with fear, hate and victims and promises not kept; reparations. Clean water and sunshine is a threat to the wicked witch of the West.
However, we will need a way to deal with fake news, so they do not harsh the positive buzz, with their fear mongering and hateful lies to rally their zombie base. But it has to preserve freedom of speech, or else the RNC will be low as the DNC.
I have the perfect solution. Information is food for thought. Therefore, we need to treat information, like the FDA does with the food supply. This new Agency, say the FDIS; Federal Department of Information Safety, will point out the nutritional value of food of thought. and also point out things that are not good for mental health, like too much intellectual fat and artificial additives. It will even deal with contamination at the sources, like e-coli of the brain.
We can break down information into categories like health food, organic food, junk food, gourmet food, artificial additives, contaminants, poisons, etc., so people can control their information diets and feel safe making choices. People can still choose to eat junk food, like CNN, but like McDonalds they need to be label their ingredients,, so it is not misrepresented as organic chicken. We still have freedom of speech and choices but a way to help the consumer of information, make healthy choices; facts and truth.
If you want a clean ingredient to cook on your own; theorize, we can have place for just the facts. If you want a processed burger as a TV dinner, this will be clearly labeled and citizen can also choose for convenience. It still allows free speech and choice, but it allows one to avoid being told they are getting prime rib, and ending with horse meat. Today there are no food for thought standards or regulation labels. Would it be nice to have a fact based web site for FDIS approved information; 5 star sanctioned by the best in culture. But it it also nice to have pizzas, since all work and no play is not a good balance.
TV hosts who peddle carnival food, will need to have a nutritional content printout, so the audience can budget their fast food consumption for the brain. There was a lot of intellectual cotton candy during after the DNC Convention. The carnie folk were in your town.
What I would also do is a 20/20 hindsight survey, on all Journalists, where we go back to 2016 and fact check all the comment of all the professional media, political personalities, pundits, experts, etc., and judge these comment, by 20/20 hindsight. The goal is to separate the genuine Journalists and purveyors of truth, from the confidence men and women selling poison for a buck. We do not allow this poison in the regular food supply. If there were too many breaches, one loses their journalist and expert credentials. They will still have freedom of speech and can sell burgers and fries or cotton candy. But they will lose the extra protection offered to the press, and be subject to liability suits even from celebrities; going forward
I would add the option of those who sold too much contaminated foods lies, having to wear a larger Letter "L" for Liar. They can retain their press credentials, but have to have the large L follow them to warn consumers. If they can prove they can go 1 year, telling the truth; fresh apples to prime rib, we will fully restore their journalist status. Lying is like a drug, and it may task time for some to heal. A second chance is the right thing to do. This will help the DNC base shed intellectual pounds, so they can jog along with the cultural renewal.
Which means that in those states, the reasonable people couldn't outnumber the Trump base. Otherwise, voting wouldn't be necessary.Only in the swing states. The vast majority of states are already decided for the EC.
The UK government is certainly preparing for such a situation. If you fear Trump winning, do you have a contingency plan in case he does win or just relying on hope that he doesn't win.
If Kamala Harris does win, my contingency plan may have to entail:
-bracing for a stock market crash
-bracing for an economic depression
-withdrawing my money from my bank
-trading my money for gold & silver
-bracing for hyperinflation
-bracing for world conflicts to flare up into a full blown world war (i.e. WW3)
-bracing for the US to get struck in some way by WW3 (e.g. large cities getting bombed or nuked)
-bracing for an invasion and take-over of the US (like a Red Dawn type of scenario)
-bracing for lawlessness to spread throughout the US
-bracing for suspension of constitutional rights and oppression
-bracing for internet outages
-bracing for power outages
-bracing for infrastructure problems or disasters
(If anyone has suggestions to add to this list, please share.)
Maybe there's a possibility that these things won't happen with Kamala Harris as POTUS or they won't be so bad, but the probability of them happening at all with Trump as POTUS is much lower.
I know that europe has a species of such plans in the event of...If you fear Trump winning, do you have a contingency plan in case he does win or just relying on hope that he doesn't win.
Leading pollster warns Americans ‘should make contingency plans’ ahead of possible Trump win

"trump says it, I believe it, that settles it"What is your reasoning for this?
And as polling tells us, Harris is winning the popular vote in total.Only in the swing states. The vast majority of states are already decided for the EC.
These make sense sicne Harris is the vp and will have policies much like Biden, and the stock market has doubled in the last 4 years. Economists have been critical of Trump's economic ideas and they predict a downturn. If Kamala Harris does win, my contingency plan may have to entail:
-bracing for a stock market crash
-bracing for an economic depression
Reactionary without a cause. I doubt you would do this if you haven't done it already. Just sounds like a tantrum on your part.-withdrawing my money from my bank
Nothing on your list has any basis in fact. Your credibility is alreaddy in the toilet so I'm not sure what impact you believed your list would have on critical thinkers. It's just sour grapes if the criminal candidate doesn't win the flawed Electoral College. Enjoy your unnecessary anxiety as Harris rises in the polls, and Trump continues to make stupid and incoherent claims at his emotional support rallies.-trading my money for gold & silver

A trick question so early in the morning. What is your reasoning for this?
I pay attention to history. What is your reasoning for this?
What plans are you making? What's your timeline?I will make the pronouncement that I do intend to live in Canada if Trump wins.
And even if Trump loses.
If only that meant something. Clinton beat Trump by nearly 3 million votes. It was the 72K votes in four states that decided the 2016 election. Now it is just a few states that will decide who our president is. We can see Harris win a majority again but Trump wins crucial swing states by a small margin. If that happens, and Trump does enable the two terrible agendas, there will be a great deal of anxiety and frustration among the majority. And as polling tells us, Harris is winning the popular vote in total.
