Cops Love To Bully & Assault Civilians

Brits have their bad cops too.
But it appears they manage the problem better.
They do have bad ones, but it's nothing like here. Here I debate in my head whether or not it's accurate to start saying the police are at war against us.

A fascinating video from a cop who claims
to represent the attitudes of most cops.
(Her profanity is bleeped to be family friendly.)

I wish I could tell people while on the job "get the **** out of the way" in a brazen abuse of power and be rewarded with a day off.

And she reminds me of my mom who herself looks for things to ***** about and highlight where you messed up.

We see it over & over. Cops use any pretext
to beat & arrest people. Doesn't matter if
there's no reasonable suspicion of a crime.
This former cop explains how he was trained,
& why cops escalate matters, intend injury,
& construct a scenario to frame the victim
for a fake crime. Victim has a $75,000
medical bill. Suit is inevitable.

Caution: Physical & verbal abuse of the victim
who is in great pain.
I wouldn't try to out- macho the cops.

Not that they would beat me up if
I tried, they'd just laugh.

This case shows that suplexing an innocent man onto
pavement, fracturing his skull, givnig him a concussion & brain
injury, fracturing his hand, & shoulder, leaving him in agony is
something for cops to laugh about. His surgery & care cost
him $75k.
What was the victim's crime?
He was walking to work wearing dark clothing.
The cop isn't being charged with anything, & has been
"punished" only with desk duty.

Watch cops approach a car without any reasonable
suspicion of a crime. They pull open the door,
escalate things, & kill one man with tazers.
This stop was of the "stop & frisk" variety, but
called "proactive patrols", ie, they stop anyone
they want, ignoring the law of the Terry Stop.
The video provides legal analysis.

Driving legally down the road results in being
pulled over by 2 cops with guns drawn.
They tell him to get out, & that he should fear
getting out...."Yer fix'n to ride the lightning!"
(It's a term for execution.)

An interesting aside to this is that the driver
expects better treatment because he's military.
Non-military folk deserve less consideration?

Watch how abusive these cops are to him.
They're filled with rage & anger at him.
He's at great risk of being shot because the
order to get out of his car would mean dropping
one hand to open the door. That would be
legal grounds to kill him.

How on Earth do such stupid corrupt angry
abusive cops ever get hired in the 1st place?
Neither cop was prosecuted for their illegal acts.
Only 1 cop was fired. Now he'll just go work
at some other police department.
Suit is for $1,000,000 thanx to idiot cops who
create crime instead of stopping it.

Cops go to a hotel to investigate coffee having been thrown.
They immediately focus upon one guy, assault him, & arrest
him. He wasn't the guy. Then he had to spend money to hire
a lawyer to get his charges dropped. The cops lied on their
report to justify the arrest. They were defeated by their own
body cameras.
Why is it that cops are allowed to lie with impunity?
This must become a crime that's severely punished.
We need many more cops in prison...on the cell side of bars.

Man & his family stopped for a broken tail light.
Man told cops he had a concealed carry license.
Cop told him to get his license.
Reached for his wallet, & the cop shot him immediately.
Cops continued to point guns at the wife & daughter.
They took the widow to jail for the crime of....uh....I don't know.
Dead over an alleged broken tail light.
The cop has been charged, & there's a possibility he
might be convicted, & perhaps even sentenced to probation.

The mayor said it was racism. But when a black Minnesota
cop murdered an unarmed white woman, that wasn't racism.
Perhaps claiming racism is the sole problem removes focus
upon the entire department being corrupt & incompetent.

For no apparent reason, a drunk off duty cop begins
attacking a 12 year old girl, repeatedly punching
her in the face so brutally that she was hospitalized.
It continued til a civilian knocked the crazy cop out
with a kick to the head.
The cop had been trouble before, but his department
took no action. Another case of an entire department
of bad cops.
The brutal cop was fired, but I found no evidence on
the internet that he was ever prosecuted. Perhaps
he will be when he eventually kills someone, eh.

You should read more posts on RF. Many of us have
offered detailed improvement proposals, very often
without "screaming" & "shouting", eg...
- Better screening of applicants for better maturity, judgement,
integrity, legal knowledge, & physical fitness.
- Much more extensive training, eg, law, de-escalation, legal
detainment, neuro-diversity.
- More accountability of individual cops & departments.
- Higher pay to attract better applicants.
- Replacing a portion of the police force with social service types.
(It's not realistic to expect cops to deal with mental health crises.)
- Eliminating both qualified (state & local) & absolute (federal) immunity.
- Investigating cop misconduct by an independent agency.
- Compensating every victim of cop misconduct, not just those
with the wherewithal to spend years in court suing them.
That is true of those that feel we need a good police force, that works with us instead of against us. I feel we desperately need police reform, but even more a system of public over-site of the police. And, even more so a reform of our judicial system.

But what do we get, 'De-fund the Police.'

An empty slogan needn't be given much attention.

The link didn't address what constitutes assault.
With that high a number, we'd expect the job to
be in the top 25 most dangerous in the USA.
But it's not.
Cops routinely falsely claim assault as a fabricated
charge. So I wonder what percentage of that
number is real.

"the top 25 most dangerous in the USA"

The top 25 most dangerous in the USA go by fatality rate, not assault.

However.... Work place violence....

The 6 most Dangerous Occupations

Although workplace violence can happen to anyone, some occupations have higher rates of violence. According to the Office for Victims of Crime (2018)[1], the top 6 most dangerous occupations are:

  1. Law enforcement
  2. Mental health
  3. Transportation
  4. Retail sales
  5. Medical

  1. Law enforcement: About 56% of workplace violence against government employees is committed against those working in law enforcement and security.[2]

And another link just for kicks

Most Dangerous Occupations

The rate of violence per 1,000 workers during the five-year period studied was as follows:

1. Law Enforcement Officers
2. Prison or Jail Corrections Officers
3. Taxi Drivers
4. Private Security Guards
5. Bartenders
