Could Nothingness Be Another Dimension In And Of Itself?

Everything becomes more expedient with technology. Violence, compassion, cruelty, kindness. Technology is the power to do anything. It's our responsibility to choose what we do with it.

Exactly my point; but a higher level of maturity provides a greater chance of doing what is best for ourselves. Spirituality is the way to develop that maturity and insight because it shows us what is most important in terms of priorities. Immature people choose what is most immediately gratifying, rather than what is best for them in the long run.

Right... because centipedes actually think this way.

Well, no. It is thinking that is the problem. Centipedes don't think about it at all. They just follow their true natures and it all works out just fine.

I already answered your question, but you don't know how to read.

Sure, it's always everybody else's fault when you can't explain yourself, it's always everyone else who is "brain-deaf", attached to their views, and so on. But never you...strange that.

Anyway, I seem to have missed your answer, so could you repeat it? The question was: "Do you think you are the Andromeda galaxy?"

Lame back-peddling because you did use the phrase "The Kingdom is within". As for dark energy we know next to nothing about it, so you can cut the pointless speculating.

You do regularly attack atheists on this forum,, maybe that's because they have the temerity to challenge your sermonising?
I never said or implied I didn't use the phrase 'the kingdom is within'.....yet another atheist strawman... Dark energy is said by science to be omnipresent...are you challenging that understanding?

Haha...highlighting the flaws of atheistic beliefs is now considered 'attacking atheists'.....whatever happened to the principle of truth as the highest ideal? :(

In the minds of fools is this fallacy of higher ideals,
and in geniuses as well,
strange that !

Dark energy is an unknown form of energy which is hypothesized to permeate all of space.
You said earlier: "The dark energy within Andromeda is within you.....".
I'm not sure what that even means, but in any case how is it relevant to the point I was making? The point was that the Andromeda galaxy is unimaginably vast and unimaginably distant, and your religious beliefs have no relevance or correlation to what it is. Your religious beliefs are just beliefs, so stop pretending they have any objective validity or tell us anything significant about the nature of the universe. If you want to understand the universe better then put your religious beliefs to one side and look at some images from the Hubble telescope, you will get far more from that. http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/

In the same post you said "The Kingdom is within.", clearly trying to wheedle your theistic beliefs into the conversation, but again it looked like more sermonising, it's very tiresome.

You ignore my answer and continue to attack the pointing finger. I don't need to 'explain' myself, esp to you. You are not Mother Superior, or maybe you are, all dressed up in your little 'small world, little old me' outfit, pretending to be 'Buddhish' with 30 years of crap under your Big Blue Belt.:p

I would say someone is 'brain deaf' when I clearly repeated the same answer to their question at least 5 different times, which was ignored each time, only to have to listen to an answer that had no relevance to the issue. You have the same problem, demanding black and white answers but refusing to address questions posed to you, while dismissing answers to your questions as 'nonsense'.

My answer is still available at post #2520. You can read it there.

Hi :) , This is Science and Religion: the introduction note says, "Discuss how science and religion get along." The Kingdom is within Spiny Norman :) , science just hasn't proved it yet.

I'd also say that the same dark energy that is in the cosmos is inside of you too. Also, the same dark matter that is in the cosmos is inside of you too.

Why would it not be?

So does that mean this 'dark energy' is conscious like us, only we don't know of it's existence within?

Is this all you're gonna reply to now? I asked you rather important questions.

I agree that humanity needs a higher level of maturity to handle the responsibility of ever growing technology. I disagree (rather, I'm unconvinced) spirituality is needed for this.

I would need to see some citation on the cognitive functions of centipedes.

I'm quite capable of discovering for myself what is "within". I certainly don't need patronising sermons from theists about it.

But what I have been objecting to is the presumption that peoples' subjective religious experiences and beliefs have any objective validity when we are talking about the nature of the universe. The tendency to present beliefs and speculations as facts.

But so what? It's like saying that we're all made of the same elements.
Evidently, some feel a need to state the obvious while making it sound profound.

I'm arrogant enough to boldly state that if one is still a theist they really haven't gotten very far into the rabbit hole of consciousness.

The so what applied to you stating that the same dark energy permeating Andromeda being within you is pseudoscience God-of the gaps.

It's like saying we're all made of the same energy yet to you that's pseudoscience God-of-the-gaps.

That obvious was labeled pseudoscience God-of-the-gaps.
