Alright, I know someone out there is gonna faint or crap his pants because Rival is saying this, but it concerns me.

Why does seeing a man wearing a dress and lipstick bother us? We see women in trousers, skirts, dresses, dungarees, shorts, with or without makeup, whatever they want; but the minute a man walks down the street in a skirt and lipgloss he's standing out?

Does not compute.

I'm more of a baggy jeans and solid color T-shirt kinda guy, critiquing someones fashion isn't my calling.

I've been embedded in Christian social norms that inwardly, I see no issues but sometimes I do get uncomfortable. It doesn't help when I came out lesbian to my mother. A short time later, we were driving in the deep parts of D.C. and we saw many transvestites. Then my mother says, "there goes one of your people."

Bothered me ever since.

Return that favor the next time the two of you walk past a crazy street preacher.

Simple. At my age my eyesight is not what it use to be; and being heterosexual I have to be careful about who I hit on.

Honestly, I have no idea. I can't say for certain. It could be that I'm still heavily influenced by patriarchal gender norms; it could be that I'm conditioned to find certain types of clothing attractive because I associate them with women and when men wear them and I'm like gee-agggh no! because it flies in the face of that; it could be because some drag queens dress in ways that, to me, are just gaudy - a tasteless assault on the senses. If I want to see that many ridiculously-painted faces I'll go to the circus. It could also be any number of reasons that I haven't thought of. It could be a combination of these things.

I just feel the need to say, I absolutely love him. I'm jealous of him in soooo many ways, perfect man. *giddy fangirl moment* xD
I like his music in general, but I'm ambivalent about him as a person. He's had issues with racism in the past and punched a teenage girl at Toronto Pride in 2007 (I think it was), which led to him being banned.

I've heard about the girl vaguely, why did he punch her? And I thought he got over the whole racism thing. His newer youtube videos often have black models and on his cosmetics site he shows each product on three skin tones. I love him music too, its just fun, I can't help it. :p I really wish he would start making it again but he's running with his cosmetics line right now (which is absolutely fabulous, but expensive).

Nothing about the social construct that is "gender" computes for me. Join the club, maybe?

I think we should have nothing to do with all the uncomfortable wear that woman are forced to objectify themselves with. Is it really necessary to have blood red lips if your not a vampire, for what purpose?

'cause it's "girly" and I ain't!
But me like 'em girls, not girly boys.
One of my best'est buddy's is a homosexual and I love him in the agape sense.
My fiance is quite fond of him also and we, him and is significant other
go to lunch sometimes.
Both are decent people.
Straight I am, homophobic I ain't.

Cross dressing could be fun but after seeing how much work it is to glam up, nah, i'll stick to my shorts and shirts.

Heck, I'm in my trousers all day if I'm working from home.

It is not only women.
Where I live, the current daytime highs are up in the 90s F. and humid. Why are guys running around in dark blue suits?

At least they are not wearing makeup, but still.
They are packaging the goods. They just do it differently from the hookers.

It does not bother me, I just want people to go along with their cultural background in public. Actually, some cross dressers look really hawt and attractive (whaaah?)

I personally prefer men to act manly and women to act... err... womanly! That of course does not count feminine or masculine birth nature for men and women respectively. I respect that and support those having those cases.

When it comes to my beliefs, I believe it is wrong and don't approve of it specially for Muslims. Again, that's the extent of it and I don't judge. I simply might not agree depending on said conditions.
