You have to love a system where 51% vote to be supported by the other 49% ingenious!
Fear not. I know many, many, many of the 51% who are not being supported by the 49%. And of course there are many of the 49-percenters that are being supported by other 49-percenters and the 51% alike.

Fact check: Red states benefit disproportionately from federal aid. Which means it us is actually the blue states giving hand-outs to the red states, not the other way around. Where's the gratitude?

BHO didn't bail out the auto industry he bailed out the unions, while throwing under the bus the secured backers. Even so, as a tax payer, I'm not concerned with what government can do for me, I am concerned with what I can do for my Self as a free individual.

Free from what?

It's states on the left that voted to give the states on the right the money though. Right?

The states on the left voted to have a functioning, secular, modern democracy. If that entails equalization payments to underdeveloped regions, so be it.

The results of the 2012 election can be summed up in one sentence which I call the "Cry of the Sheeple":

"I ask not what I can do for my country, I ask what my countries government can do for me?!"
When one considers that income tax is indentured servitude, and they review all the taxes they pay in order to legally survive in this allegedly, ' free country', I have no problem expecting my government to do for me.
It's only fair that given all that we the working class people pay in taxes that we should get our monies worth.

God knows politicians live better than we do at our expense. And that there are no term limits for the Legislature nor the Judicial branch for that matter, they stand to make a career of it. Which insures job security till they are voted out by what is largely an apathetic electorate, retire or die.

There aren't many in the working class that are assured the same for all their hard work.

More like one united nation trying to make every citizen's life one of equal opportunity. Those less educated and ignorant (red staters) are given a helping hand by the smart and informed strong (blue staters), so that one day, the red state children and grandchildren might also become educated and well off. With the side bonus of decreasing crime, abortions, poverty, warfare, etc...etc....

...and if you think that sounds too lofty and idealistic, you should try reading notes from our founding fathers, and some old dead dude named Jesus.
You might also try historical statistics, as well as the vast majority of scientists and economists.

I'm sorry if the vote offends anyone, but the country can only prosper and grow with Obama and the democratic platform/ideals. Romney, and more importantly the GOP ideology would cripple America.
Change is inevitable. You can cower in fear from it....or accept it and even prosper from it.....if you have the intelligence and gumption.

I guess crying in your tea makes it bitter. There, there Tea Partiers, Obama isn't going to eat your babies, give out food stamps to trick-or-treaters and wipe his hindquarters with the flag and The Constitution wadded up together. Everything is going to be just fine.

I like how whoever is claiming to be Trump there is miffed about Obama "losing" the popular vote (which is untrue anyway), but I imagine they didn't so much as frown in the slightest when Bush lost the popular vote... I bet there was no call for revolution then!

There are a lot of people on my Facebook saying they're going to move to Canada and Australia. I don't know whether to facepalm myself knowing full well that none of them will move, or laugh because either one of those countries is like a liberal's paradise. That disconnect really sums up everything.

Oh great, that just smashed the promise the KochBrothers-pay-per view promised for the next four years.

Thanks for blowing my high. No, really!

I see the silliness of it all but if Romney had won, we would be hearing the same thing just from different people.

There will be a backlash however. This country is deeply divided and if you look at the electoral map, it would seem that the urban folks want to tell the rest of the country how to live. Even though Romney lost, just look at the vast expanse of the red states who want none of this.

My roommate's wife said that they would move to Canada if Romney won.

I, myself, have been wanting to get out of this country, anyway, regardless of who's in office.

You can't ignore the vast amount of blue states either. You can just as easily say that, as Jon Stewart put it, "most of the confederacy" is trying to tell the rest of the country how to live. And the electoral map is pretty much how it always is. Many states remaining unchanged, many being very predictable, and only a handful of them decide who wins. We live in a highly polarized and partisan nation. Either everyone will get over their differences or the nation will collapse. Either one is better than a stagnant government with a large chunk of individuals insisting it is their way or the highway. Some so boisterous as to claim that compromise is the Democrats yielding to Republican wishes.
