I ts all about integration, when they come to our countries they expect us to integrate into their culture.

hey england, you either come to our countires and integrate with our culture, or we come to your countries and make you integrate into our culture. i think you guys have chosen. ha ha ha :D

this is from Allah (swt). we go to a non islamic country and instead of having to change our culture and blah blah blah to yours, we get you guys changing your culture into ours. elhamdulilah rabil alemin.

but getting back to the OP, that is an over reaction, the man doesn't live in Riyadh like someone had said, so then he should not get offended.

i live in ozz, and in shops there are female attendants at the cashier, but clothes and food are a must, what can i do?

What's wrong with showing respect and support for the rights and equality of women?

where did i say that there is something wrong with supporting womens rights and equality? no one is speaking of that.

but i know people like you very well, too bad you were young when hitler was around, his way of thinking and you racist/cultural hatred would have been undefeatable.

Hey guys, if you look back Esalam didn't say anything offensive. Careful now.

Esalam, is it a part of the religion that Muslims should not change their culture if they move to a different country? That's what you seemed to say but I want to make sure I understand.

Let me get this straight because I may have missed something.

A person on this thread insinuates their disrespect for women to the point where they struggle with choosing to buy goods in a store where the cash register is operated by a women.
Some folks quite correctly take the **** out of such a medieval and disgusting attitude.

And somehow the person who disparaged women and equality is the one taking offence and accusing others of hatred??????

Needs more Twightlight Zone music.

I'm sure there has been a misunderstanding here. Don't be too quick to interpret Esalam's meaning.

Let’s recap the conversation shall we?

It started with this comment:
hey england, you either come to our countires and integrate with our culture, or we come to your countries and make you integrate into our culture. i think you guys have chosen. ha ha ha
….
i live in ozz, and in shops there are female attendants at the cashier, but clothes and food are a must, what can i do?

Which garnered the following responses:
Darn, I guess you'll just have to treat women as equals.
Yeah, I can't believe such irrational attitudes still exist in the modern world. Embarrassing, really.
Eselam’s follow up:
don't try and get to smart wise guy.

i'd try to keep my brains inside my head if i were you.
embarrasing that you and your little buddy are speaking of ignorance and idiocy?

yeah it is a shame
These comments prompted the following respectful question:
What's wrong with showing respect and support for the rights and equality of women?
Which then garnered this:
where did i say that there is something wrong with supporting womens rights and equality? no one is speaking of that.

but i know people like you very well, too bad you were young when hitler was around, his way of thinking and you racist/cultural hatred would have been undefeatable.

What am I missing here? It really looks like eselam needs a reality check.

Yes but I've been observing Esalam'a use of communication, which is not perfect, and it really wouldn't surprise me if he meant something more like this:

"Muslim culture says this <---let's make light of it with my hahaha laughing.
The dude in this story over exaggerated.
Here in Oz I am faced with a culture where women work at the shops I need to go to which I am not used to but I do not over-react because I understand it is a different culture."

Do you see how this could be construed?
It would then explain why Esalam was confused about being criticised and reacting angrily to feeling discriminated against.

See?

Not really. That last follow up eselam made to the Father Heathen is insane and screams “I need a reality check”.

You mean about Hitler?
It may have been an over-exaggeration.

But imagine this. If you were middle eastern and knew of the racism against your society these days it would be easy to take a racial or discriminatory comment out of proportion and exaggerate. Basically Esalam thinks that Father Heathen is being very racist. And it all started from a misinterpreatation which lead to anotehr and another until it gets blown up into something rediculous.

PS: I really hope I'm right about you Esalam!

Even if your interpretation were right it still screams “I need a reality check”. What was said to eselam that was racist or discriminatory?? Seriously??
