If I could paint like that I would be eternaly happy , such beautifull serva ,

it was painted by Marianne Stokes wife of Adrian Stokes the british landscape painter I dont have a date for it , but she worked on into the early 1920s

the more I look at it the more I love it .

Today was a Krishna Archana at temple that I couldn't make it to.

However, here are the actual Murtis of Krishna and Radha at the temple I go to. :)

Nice, StarryNightshade, in whatever form the deity appears.
I feel for Matas Rukmani, Satyabhama, Jambavati, Nagnajiti, Kalindi, Mitravrinda, Bhadra, and Lakshmana. :D

Nice photographs, JayaBholenath. My favorite was a Ganesha like figure on a tree trunk, which we pagan Hindus are worshiping taking it to be the presence of God. :)

I love swayambu murti too, not very surprising coming from a Saiva ! We are used to worship naturally formed lingam, like Vaisnav worship shaligram too.

We can see God manifesting on plants, trees, rocks, montains etc... It is wonderful that we Hindus can worship in so much different shapes !
