Nope. It depends on individual liberty and representation. And this can not be afforded with out individual responsibility and self assurance. A society is never a single unit, it is a combination of valued and empowered individuals working together. So called singular unit societies always collapse into tyranny and mediocrity. They do not work. See Soviet style communism and classic American puritanism. Nuclear style families are not special but are very welcome.

Since when? Yesterday? Legal marriage is strictly for the benefit of those individuals interested in marriage. It only helps those who get married ( even then it's a gamble and takes work ).

I want to thank those who have stood up for marriage between a man & a woman (which is honoring the way we came to exist).
I also want to thank those who have proven the point in the OP about how those supporting the gay-agenda use name-calling & harrassment instead of logic to try to get what they want.
Agreed about those who use name-calling and harrassment instead of logic, but disagreed that marriage is necessarily between a man and a woman. Without the articificial construct of society, men don't need marriage to make babies. All it take is brute force and a short fun time. Fun for the man that is.
It wasn't that long ago that women couldn't even vote in this country. They still lack basic rights in many others. Mostly Third World nations. Are primitive cultures and times really the example we want to bring up here?
Yes, biologically, in mammals, only a male and female mating can produce progeny. That's a fact. Legally, what does that matter in a nation that espouses, "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"?
BTW, 100 logic points to the first person who understands the irony in that last comment.

what I find the most interesting is how you put scientific in quotes.
Mostly because all the "scientific" facts that have been presented on this forum in support of the claim "children need one father and one mother to grow up best" have not been the least bit scientific.
It is almost as if you know that you have been presenting bull **** and claiming it to be science.....
