Now you're just trying to impress columbus.
There's very very little chance of that happening.
But if there is any, I aspire rising to the level of dirt.

Gawd....I finally caught up with the dozens of alerts
from simultaneous conversations in multiple threads.
This place can get hectic.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I turn 31. I will celebrate by taking my Democratic behind into Walmart and getting the essentials while trying to avoid contagious people. We will see whether today is a better day for people in the US than yesterday. I'm sure I will be nervous about going if today is the same as yesterday.

Happy Birthday. Yesterday was my birthday. I celebrated it by doing the same thing I do every day.

Thank you. See, we can have a civil conversation without playing games.

I am also enjoying the few posts about check outs. Honest and sincere communication. No need to play games or score points.
Let's not go overboard.
Games can be fun &/or necessary in discussions.
Consider....
Slaughterhouse Five is a powerful anti-war book.
It's a work of fiction (based upon real events) that
makes its case perhaps more effectively than would
a cold logical argument.

Aye. And I admit I have been known to play some games myself. And I have been called on it.

Just understand that if someone calls you on your game, that does not mean their feelings are hurt, it does not mean they are angry. It just means the jig is up. That is part of the risk of playing a game like this one.

(And good reference. Slaughter House Five is one of my favourites. A powerful anti-war book as you say. And much more.)

Forgive me. I'm receiving so many alerts that it's
difficult to address them all. I saw yours, & fully
intended to inform you.

Thank you.

If you'd read the thread first, you'd have found on
the very first page, my statistical basis for determining
(with 80+% probability) that the perp is a Democrat.

OK.

This is important because I've been advised to go
with what is likely in determining the tribe.

I honestly do not understand what you're saying here.

You might've missed some heated discussions wherein I mistakenly
pursued the misguided idea that too much focus was on assigning
a malefactor's deeds to a particular tribe. I was sternly advised
that this is important. And even if uncertain, it should be assigned
based upon likelihood.
So I'm mending my ways, beginning with this recently spotted story.
Circumspection, tribal procedures, & safe space creation are necessary.

Or, it might be that to discuss an issue tending towards conflagration,
tis better to play a tesuji for sabaki, eschewing korigatachi. This has
led to some posters achieving interesting yosu-miru, thereby avoiding
both ko fights & seki.

You mentioned games, so I explained with appropriate analogues.
Note also that everyone plays their own game. But I played kikashi,
& now I have sente instead of gote.

(There....that'll get'm search'n for what I meant.)

$5 says he gets brass knuckled by whatever Dem(s) he's covertly playing against.

One must observe the rules, both de jure & de facto.
I've occasionally considered a seminar on rule breaking. I'm pretty good, if I say so myself.

For us gay atheists living in Semi-rural Jesustan it's a life skill. And for a conservative white male living in a world dominated by feminazis and SJWs.

But I haven't thought of a way to monetize. I'm no saint.

It's a good thing I'm not in China. You'd ruin my social credit just by us being on the same site.

The OP of that thread explicitly stated that it was not about
this thread or me. So we may take that as the truth.
And yes, I am learning the necessity of deference to my
superiors. Tis their forum, & I am only a guest.
You're sure?
No connection?
Well thank heavens for that.
I hate having to do the on-knees and humility thing.

Here...... So you're a type of Conservative, it seems......?
Now, here's a question just for you:-
If, during this Coronavirus pandemic with all the lock-downs, isolations, funding releases, hospital services etc, President Obama had been in power all through, how do you think the right wingers in your country would have been describing your country's policies and actions? Would they have a different opinion?

That's for you to think about.....

Over here in the UK a few folks have mentioned that if the USA had given heart and soul to President Obama's wishes for a National Health Provision for all, then maybe your country might have been better equipped to handle this dreadful situation?

That's something else for you to think about......
