devil worshipping a sign of mental illness?

Exactly. you practically spelled out the problem.
you take as you please from the sacred scriptures, relics and doctrines of other men and do with them as you please.

Again. you spelled out the problem. you remain in complete ignorance of the qualities, literary, historical, educational, judicial and otherwise of the original passages, verses and text itself. and idolize a pop star version of the sacred text of other people.

I think you really only want to believe that. no one is really shocked by such a lack of an adequate comprehension of the most and very basic fundamentals of religion.

Many of us still can and do that on regular basis. as we have for the past thousands of years. it is life as we know it. and it is a shame that North Americans are taking the hard labour of our scribes, priests of antiquity, or even monarchs and make a commercial mishmash out of them. a da Vinci code, modern 'satanism', a 'LHP', and other dogmas that belong in the kindergarten school of religious education.
It seems that to you. what we consider commemorating, sacred, and historical texts and testament for the historicity, achievements, literary abilities and other major establishments of our nations is nothing but a trend. almost as if you go shopping for a new jacket.

I think a lot of our disagreements come down to a fundamentally different way of viewing tradition and religion. I see both as a tool to be used to further your own goals, it seems you see them as something "sacred" for want of a better word. This means of course that there are some points we will never agree on unfortunately.
Still, I don't think you've really understood the power of the word "Satan" in the West. Perhaps it lacks the same impact in Israel, but here it is certainly useful for dramatic effect during ritual.
I also don't appreciate your tone in much of this post, I don't mind you being honest, but saying things like "kindergarten school of religious education" and
"a lack of an adequate comprehension of the most and very basic fundamentals of religion" seems to be intended to provoke me. I've already discussed the problems and benefits of the term "Satan" in your other thread and so to say that I don't understand the most basic principles is simply incorrect. It doesn't greatly matter if you dislike Satanism or even consider it parasitic, but over the course of this thread you've shown the same lack of understanding of the religion's principles that you accuse us of.

blackout

Violet.
this only begs to ask if mental illness is tied to satan worship
Your comment illustrates my point.

Why have you singled out obnoxious immature LHP people
to accuse of mental illness?

What of obnoxious immature athiests? and obnoxious immature christians?
and obnoxious immature ___________________ fill in the blanks.

All obnoxious and immature behavior I suppose then,
is a sign of mental illness.

Violet.
Just for the record,
I'm no fan of "Satanism".

I didn't leave christianity
to go join the "other side".

I'm sick to death of "satan".
I dealt with years of "satan" as a christian.
I left christianity,
I did not "switch sides",
or plot to "wage war against it".

I moved on.
Satan was part of the mess I moved on from.

So anyway, I have nothing personal invested here.

I just really hate Witch Hunts in general.

Outhouse to me as a dharmic, LHP has more value as a religious path then Christianity, because it can lead one to liberation, albiet by what can be a very destructive path. Christianity on the other hand very seldom leads one to liberation, maybe a few we call Christian Mystics, because Christianity teaches it's adherents to look at what is illusion as being true.
I am curious as to what you mean by "a very destructive path." Individuals of the Left Handed Path do not worship anything, except maybe themselves, and are no more prone to mental illness than any other path in life. We are probably less likely to seek out causing harm to another, as we don't believe people should be killed or hurt for being different from the mainstream status-quo, the Satanic Bible outlines to not make any unwanted sexual advances, and our path revolves around self-gratification, self-deification, and Micheal Ford, a Luciferian author, even urges a daily exercise regiment for health and to exercise mental discipline.
Myself I loosely describe myself as a Luciferian, and since I have followed the Left Handed Path I have been doing better in life. Very little of it can be attributed to it, but nothing destructive has happened.
