Diablo 3...

Well, at clvl 27, my Barbarianette is somewhat stuck at Belial in Act 2... so far, best is getting him 1/2 dead.... *sigh* ....

She has about 2100+ HP's and strolls through everything else... up to this point. Any ideas?

I would do what I used to do in some cases in the first Diablo, I'll take my advanced level character and start a game in a previous act just to built my character and upgrade my abilities. Would that work in Diablo 3?

And while we are at it... should I get Diablo 3? :D

No Diablo 3 for me until they remove all DRM from it. I was never into the other games to begin with, and I'm vehemently against the practice of DRM; it doesn't work, and all it does is screw over customers.

GOG.com all the way for me!

Finished him off last night with my lvl 25 Demon Huntress.

First time he was immune to my lightning attack.

Second time i switched to twin chakrams and just started jumping around taking pot shots at him.

Bit disappointing, in the other games the bosses were way harder

I'm a bit underwhelmed by it.

There's cool new skills and everything, but i was hoping for something a bit grander.

Yeppers, that is pretty much what I am doing, Dan. That and getting more gold to feed my other characters. The communal stash and gold pool is pretty cool. Perfectly safe way to transfer items to other chars. If the $60.00 is no big deal for you, I'd definitely get it.

At the risk of being laughed at, what the heck is DRM?

That sounds promising. My Demon Hunter is a studly clvl 3 now, lol. I do like the Monk. That character is pretty cool. The first time I tried with her, she just stood there doing her usual thing of hack, whirlwind etc.... That didn't work so well. Last night I tried running about hitting and screaming and summoning the ancients. That did work fairly well, till I noticed I didnt have my finger on the Q button to drink healing potions, LOL. DOH. Well, she is a barby and they aren't known for the intellectual prowess.

I agree, get it.

Digital Rights Management.
Or something like that.
It is the way they "protect" the game from being pirated.
like having to be online AND connected to battle.net to play the game.

I got my wizard up to clvl 21.
I am torn between him and the monk, who is clvl 20.

Never did care much for the barb in any of the Diablo games...
Though, i do like grouping with those who know how to play the barb.

Actually, it's designed more to prevent casual sharing (i.e., between friends) than piracy, which it doesn't prevent at all (and it could easily be argued that DRM helps piracy, since pirated copies of games are less of a hassle to play.)

My personal experiences have shown that a better case can be made that DRM helps piracy more than prevents it.
I have purchased more than one game only to turn around and play a pirated version because it is much less hassle.

For boss fights I use rapid fire with the slowing skill rune on my demon hunter. Works incredibly well. I have yet to die once.

Thats what I was thinking and then I remembered I was still playing on normal difficulty. There are still 3 more difficulty levels to go through.

I pretty much temporarily lost my bf to this game.

He was dragged into the void that is Diablo 3. Not sure when he'll emerge.

Never played any Diablo myself but I've had Blizzard's Starcraft games.

No hardcore for me. I played that mode exclusively for about 5 years in Diablo II...
I have no desire to go through all that again.

My barbarianette is now in Act 2 of Nightmare, has approx. 11,500 life and still gets knocked off occasionally. That said, I'm getting used to only having 4 hours sleep a night, LOL.

The biggest thing I have that bugs me about Diablo 3 is that when you join someones game it buggers up YOUR quests in the game you are working on.

My ID tag is YmirGF#1141 is you want to stomp stuff together.
