To be honest, I do not know if there is any particular translation of the Qur'an that Baha'is are told to use.
Okay. I am sure you have been asked this before but you don’t believe prophet Mohamed was the last prophet correct? To be honest, I do not know if there is any particular translation of the Qur'an that Baha'is are told to use.
I believe that Muhammad was the last prophet in the Adamic Cycle of religion which began with Adam and ended with Muhammad.Okay. I am sure you have asked this before but you don’t believe prophet Mohamed was the last prophet correct?
We can talk privately if you want since this is not the topic of this thread. Or maybe you can recommend a other thread where this is the topic?
Okay thanks for sharingI believe that Muhammad was the last prophet in the Adamic Cycle of religion which began with Adam and ended with Muhammad.
He was called the Seal of the Prophets since He sealed off the Cycle of Prophecy.
Because male and female he created them both, says the story. That is, the story is adjusted to take into account the abundant evidence that throughout the animal kingdom, humans included, two-sex reproduction is the norm.So why do you suppose God decided to give them genitals in the beginning?

The bible God first appears about 1500 BCE. Two-sex reproduction appears to be at least a billion years old. You may find >this article< interesting,
I am not sure what you are trying to ask. Are you saying a prophet has to be a zadoki priest? There seems seems to be soem confusion here .. Last prophet of what God ? Who is the God of the Adamic Cycle ?
Muhammad is not a prophet of the God of Abraham .. at all .. as all prophets for the God of Abraham Zadokite Priests .. Priests of the Order Melchi-Zedek .. Perhaps I am mistaken about Muhammad but I do not believe he was a Zadokite Priest. Hopefully a Muslim member can clear this up.
The last prophet of the one true God who is the same God as the God of the Adamic Cycle of religion, since there is only one true God, according to my beliefs. There seems seems to be soem confusion here .. Last prophet of what God ? Who is the God of the Adamic Cycle ?

The last prophet of the one true God who is the same God as the God of the Adamic Cycle of religion, since there is only one true God, according to my beliefs.
I believe that the God of Abraham is the one true God, and that Muhammad was one of His Prophets.
I believe that Muhammad was a Messenger of God and a universal Manifestation of God.
Question: How many kinds of divine Prophets are there?
Answer: There are three kinds of divine Prophets. One kind are the universal Manifestations, which are even as the sun. Through Their advent the world of existence is renewed, a new cycle is inaugurated, a new religion is revealed, souls are quickened to a new life, and East and West are flooded with light. These Souls are the universal Manifestations of God and have been sent forth to the entire world and the generality of mankind.
Another kind of Prophets are followers and promulgators, not leaders and law-givers, but they are nonetheless the recipients of the hidden inspirations of God. Yet another kind are Prophets Whose prophethood has been limited to a particular locality. But the universal Manifestations are all-encompassing: They are like the root, and all others are as the branches; they are like the sun, and all others are as the moon and the stars.
The Three Kinds of Prophets
I also believe that Abraham was a Prophet who was a universal Manifestation of God, one Prophet in a series of Prophets who have been sent by God to earth over the course of time.

Those are not assumptions, they are my beliefs.I am down with the general idea you are putting forward .. there is a critical error in your presentation of that idea - which is
1) the assumption of Only one God
2) the assumption that all Prophet claimaings are from this one God
Those are your beliefs, not mine. I believe that there is only one God, who has been described as follows:3) That there are not prophets for different Gods in your presentation .. such as the Moses .. the Aaronite Priests are not Priests of the Order Melchi-Zedek -- not prophets of the God of Abraham
4) you have left out some very important sources of "Gods Word" Such as Hamurrabi's law Code .. given him by Lord Marduk .. King Cyrus .. who'se God you mention but there is also a Marduk Connection .. which can - in a way .. be traced back to the Most High God El.
5) You can not understand anything from the OT Bible .. relevant to this topic .. "who is a prophet of who" from a monotheistic perspective .. which takes us back full circle to 1 I suppose.
6) different prophets speak for different Gods .. you can not assume all speak for same God .. as this is big false assumption.
Yeah seem a bit complicated to me but what I am gonna say you already know. We use the Quran as our yardstick and go by with the idea that god has send us prophets and messenger. He send them to different tribes and in different times. All the prophet have their own purpose but came with the same message, that to worship the creator of the heavens and earth. He is the only worthy of our worship and not adding partners. No .. Nyet .. X-nay on the zadoki priesthood understanding part of the question .. this is a common mind bend for both Christians and Muslims .. that comes up way .. way .. too often .. no .. more than that .. at almost every interaction where this subject is breached.
So .. need you to Focus . a Priest of what God ? and Prophet of What God ? In order to be a Priest of the God of Abraham .. one needs be a Zadokite Priest .. .. A Prophet can be a Prophet of any God .. a Prophet of El - Ellil - El Oliun - El Elyon .. Father - Creator .. but most importantly .. Chief God of the Divine Council -- sure ... a Prophet of EL - Chief God of the Canaanite Panthon would be a Zadokite Priest .. or at least become one after being Chosen.
Regardless --- to the meat of the issue here .. Is Muhammad a Zadokite Priest -- a priest forever in the Order of Melchi-Zedek. as was HeyZeus .. forgive my latinized trinity mocking pronunciation ... of the blessed lord and saviour .. a Joke which I assure you he gets.
1) Footnote -- Note that "Prophets" such as Isaiah . are not of the order Zedeki .. and this should be obvious if we play the "whats in a name game" Yah .. part of the name Isaiah .. you know .. like Zedek .. twin God of Righteous and Justice .. the patron God of Jerusalem at the time .. was part of the name Melchi-Zedek. It should be obvious at this point that all of the Aaronite- Levite Priests are not .. of the order Zedek -- being priests of a completely different God .. named Yahu of the Shasu .. Aaronite priesthood is a different priesthood.
Now.. and this a test for myself as much as you .. What order is a Prophet by the name Ezeki-El ! ..Must be Zedek obviously the fellow is a Prophet of EL .. the Most High God .. but things are more complicated... .. some food for further thought .. but a digression from the question at hand .. What does Islam have to say on the question .. of Zedokite Priesthood ?
Those are not assumptions, they are my beliefs.
Those are your beliefs, not mine. I believe that there is only one God, who has been described as follows:
“Regard thou the one true God as One Who is apart from, and immeasurably exalted above, all created things. The whole universe reflecteth His glory, while He is Himself independent of, and transcendeth His creatures. This is the true meaning of Divine unity. He Who is the Eternal Truth is the one Power Who exerciseth undisputed sovereignty over the world of being, Whose image is reflected in the mirror of the entire creation. All existence is dependent upon Him, and from Him is derived the source of the sustenance of all things. This is what is meant by Divine unity; this is its fundamental principle.” Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 167
My Baha'i beliefs are congruent with the Bible.
28 Biblical Passages Which Explicitly Teach There is Only One God
All Christians think they know what the Bible means but they do not agree. What do you think that means?Good Grief -- the depth of misunderstanding is deep.
1) Your belief that there is only one God is an assumption .. and thus you are wrong .. your belief a falsehood.
2) "Those are your beliefs" .. ?? --- what are my beliefs ? I have not given any of my beliefs .. as my perspective on God is not important to the question .. so you are wrong yet again .. another false assumption .. and in this case an enormous misunderstanding as to whose beliefs are under consideration .. We are talking about the beliefs of the Canaanites .. and later the Israelites from inception to ~720 BC .. The beliefs of the people from which these stories originate. .. none of whome believe in only one God ..
OK ,,,.. you don't get to impose your assumptions about God onto the beliefs of people in question... and these people believed in Many Gods .. and the phrase "one true God" is laughable silliness .. many of the peoples had a favorite God ...or one they believed was higher than the others .. some chose to worship only one of the Gods .. but they still believed in the existence of the others... your belief that there is only one God .. complete and utter nonsense to these folks
And as such .. you can not understand what the Bible is saying in many places .. if you are trying to do so from a perspective of monotheism.. .. for example -- Psalm 82 - YHWH stands in The Assembly of EL , in the midst of the Gods he renders Judgment.
Whats going on here ... and where did all these Gods come from YHWH - EL - by name and a bunch of others .. what is happening .. from the perspective of the Israelite in 900 BC hearing this song being sung in one of the Temples of YHWH strewn about the Kingdom Isra-EL .
Thats easy .. simple Simon .. as everyone .. not just the Israelite but them and every other nation around from the Phonecians to the Hittites to the Babylonian nows what the Assembly of EL is.. EL Chief God of the Canaanite Pantheon ..
Although I'm not following you completely yet, I'm getting a good idea of what you see in scripture. It, again, is something I saw as a youth and it confused me, but I honestly never pushed the questions since it was clearly against the church's belief. So therefore I had to be misunderstanding. Enough of all that -- my question from 60 years ago.......Good Grief -- the depth of misunderstanding is deep.

Thats easy .. simple Simon .. as everyone .. not just the Israelite but them and every other nation around from the Phonecians to the Hittites to the Babylonian nows what the Assembly of EL is.. EL Chief God of the Canaanite Pantheon .. .. and in the temple of YHWH .. would be a standing stone for Asherah .. Queen of Heaven .. worshiped along side other Gods such as their child Anat .. in Father - Mother - Child Trinity of sorts .. which is the only kind of trinities you find among these people .. and after a visit to the male and /or female prostitutes .. you could visit the high place out back to make a sacrifice .. Your assumptions don't matter squat to the beliefs of these people.
All Christians think they know what the Bible means but they do not agree. What do you think that means?
You have your beliefs and I have mine. I am not going to argue with you.
Although I'm not following you completely yet, I'm getting a good idea of what you see in scripture. The first commandment from Exodus 20 states: You shall have no other gods before me. Seems quite clear "this" God, I'm assuming at this time is the otherwise nameless, I Am, acknowledges there are lesser gods, or demigods. Is "I Am" also El?
I'll be digging into yet another line of inquiry now........
One could only assume. Before Sin, there was no death. If Adam and Eve and the animals had genitals, it would only a matter of time before reproduction would cause Earth to became over populated had nobody sinned. Am I missing something here?
Okay, some of my lifelong confusion from these Torah texts is starting to make sense now. It even puts more importance on the life and events of Abraham. He really had some decisions to make, didn't he?... "People have different beliefs - What do you think that means" he cries out .. What it means is that you don't have the faintest idea what this conversation is about .. deer in a head-lights .. full on collision .. now your beset with nothing but indecision .. and so in desperate attempt to salvage position .. run from the playground has become the number one mission.
I don't want to argue about your beliefs nor mine either .. as this subject is not about your beliefs or mine .. but the beliefs of people in and around Israel ~ 1000 BC .. and we know what these beliefs were .. all of them believing in many Gods .. "What do you think that means" ?
This is good ..excellent questions .. the 10 commands you cite is one set - from one God -- YHWH presumably but those are not the set that go into the Ark .. the covenant with this God gets smashed .. and a new one written .. and a new God introduced .. whose name is Jealous ... with a completely different set of 10 commands in this new covenant .. Exodus 34 .. but before you read .. who were the people presumably worshiping in the Golden Calf incident .. which is how I remember where to look this passage up .. this other coventant these other 10 commands .. .. Bull - EL .. the Most High .. instead of Son YHWH .. who is fighting with all the other sons of EL .. and a few from his Brother Enki .. for the Title of Chief God on Earth .. El residing as Cheif in the Heavens .. head of the "Divine Council" / The Divine assembly mentioned in Psalm 82 and in Job 1 .. and Deut 32:43 .. but the Deut passage has to be from a Bible written BC .. they wipe away the other divinities in later versions.
So .. no .. the "I AM" God -- states himself that the folks before Moses did not know his Name = to a 900 BC reader = did not know this God .. a strange strange passage but .. not so much when you understand how the 900 BC person see's things.
So NO ... YHWH is not EL .. Deut 32:8 features El Elyon .. God Most High ..Chief God of the Canannite Pantheon .. divinding up the nations of the earth among his many sons .. YHWH's portion Jacob (Israel) .. the whole story of the Israelites rising to become a nation is the strory of their Son of God .. defeating all the other Sons of God .. which is the exact story you are told on Psalm 82 .. a song commemorating YHWH defeating these other Gods .. taking his place as Chief God on Earth .. El is still head of the divine council in heaven in this song .. which is sung by every nation .. about their God .. substituting their God for YHWH .. Chemosh .. Marduk .. ... every walled city had its own Patron God they would parade out to battle .. YHWH even loses a battle against the God of the Moabites .. as recorded in stories from both sides of the Battle .. one the story in the Bible .. and the other the story on the Moabite Stone .. .. very cool stuff I tell you ... but only if one is reading it from the proper perspective .. which is not Monotheism .. all these folks believed in many Gods .. the entire history of the Israelites is not Just one of Henotheism .. worship of one God as more powerful than all the rest and worship only that God monolateralism or some such thing .. both still believing in other gods but reverence or more reverence goes to one .. NO .. the Israelites were raging Polytheists from start to finish .. and by finish I mean 720 BC .. the fall of the northern Kingdom .. which is the end of the Israelites .. Find me a time when they were not only believing in many Gods .. but worshiping many.. YHWH is worshiped alongside his Consort Asherah the Holy Hash smoke with frankenscense in the air .. your choice of male or female prostitutes . Anat the child of YHWH and Asherah Queen of heavens and child Anat sometimes forming a Holy Trinity.
K .. EL -- is the God of Abraham .. Canaanite Chief God (remember that the Israelites are Canaanites .. same religious beliefs ) .. that is what the Encylopedia Brittanica will tell you -- for reasons I won't get into . this is the modern Biblical scholarship .. not me waking up in the morning and spinning a good yarn . the footnote in the Bible tells you this .. the one I posted earlier that you should click on.
YHWH and his Evil Twin demiurge "Jealous" .. Oh .. and I was going to post this God's commands .. .. funny stuff .. how many do you think you can guess .. other than the one you got right .. that he is Jealous.. but no Gods before her .. not that she is the only God... Exodus 34
10 Then Lord Jealous said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, Lord Jealous will do for you. 11 Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. 12 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. 13 Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.[a] 14 Do not worship any other god, for Lord Jealous , whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
15 “Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. 16 And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
17 “Do not make any idols.
18 “Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.
19 “The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock. 20 Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.
“No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
21 “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
22 “Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.[b] 23 Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel. 24 I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the Lord your God.
25 “Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Festival remain until morning.
26 “Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God.
“Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
27 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” 28 Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
New covenant -- New God .. new commands .. this is not the God of Jesus .. neither one of these twin demiurge "Sons of God"s commands does Jesus follow . and that is how you know .. as "the Word was God" .. God is his word .. his Command .. there is no God without his Word .. and if you do not follow that word .. you do not follow that God .. this is how it works the land of multiple Gods.
Jesus .. is a Priest of the Order Melchi-Zedek --- this is the priesthood of EL . as opposed to the Aaronic/Levitical Priesthood which is the Priesthood of YHWH .. aka "the twin demiurge" flip flopping trickster God .. with the most petty and nasty of human characteristics .. very little divine from the perspective of the biblical depiction .. tempermental xenophobic genocidal maniac to boot .. "my name is Jealous"
Jealous of what Friend ?! .. in my best Irish Accent ! "Other Gods" .. OK .. I get it .. but .. of course this story makes abolutely no sense if there is but one God. .. This all powerful -- all knowing .. only God of everything is Jealous of Humans ? Help me friend .. to understand how on gods green earth this passes anyone's giggle test ????
NO.. Sorry .. the story only makes sense ... and absolute sense to a 10th century BC Polytheistic Reader .. if it is other Gods that this God is Jealous of .. and that this God actually believes these other Gods exist .. even if you don't
