Before Sin, there was no death. If Adam and Eve and the animals had genitals, it would only a matter of time before reproduction would cause Earth to became over populated had nobody sinned. Am I missing something here?
No, that's a later invention. Adam and Eve were always going to die (otherwise the presence of the Tree of Life is meaningless). Nowhere in the Garden story does it say (a) that Adam and Eve sinned (b) that death had not till then entered the world or (c) that God expelled Adam and Eve for any reason other that the one [he] states in Genesis 3:22-3: "22 Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good from evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever" ─ 23 therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden."Before Sin, there was no death.
The first bonk of Adam and Eve is mentioned in Genesis 4:1. There's no suggestion that any alteration was needed for this to happen. If Adam and Eve and the animals had genitals, it would only a matter of time before reproduction would cause Earth to became over populated had nobody sinned. Am I missing something here?
I think the original earth was designed to have just expanded its circumference to accommodate population growth. Eventually it would have been the largest planet in the solar system, larger than Jupiter even, had Adam not sinned. But the auto-grow feature never got tested, so we'll never know for sure. Before Sin, there was no death. Wow! The things that people make up.I think the original earth was designed to have just expanded its circumference to accommodate population growth. Can you please cite the Bible verses that say that there was no physical death before Adam and Eve ate the apple from the tree? Before Sin, there was no death.
Hey, I'll bet you I could start a small church with stuff like that. You just say with conviction, and a few poundings on the pulpit, and true believers would be born.Wow! The things that people make up.
Romans 5:12, "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—"Can you please cite the Bible verses that say that there was no physical death before Adam and Eve ate the apple from the tree?

Physical death has always existed and it will continue to exist, since the human body is mortal.Romans 5:12, "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—"
1 Cor. 15:21-22, "For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. "
Such projection. All you have is make believe. You have no evidence.Hey, I'll bet you I could start a small church with stuff like that. You just say with conviction, and a few poundings on the pulpit, and true believers would be born.
I know. I was just trying to be cute.BTW, the Bible never says it was an apple. Considering they don't grow in that area that would be a problem if it did say that. It just says the 'fruit".
They would use their powers of constipation. If they didn't have genitals how would they urinate?
Ladies wouldn't know what your question means. If they didn't have genitals how would they urinate?
That's interesting. I can't detect it in the English (RSV). But Robert Alter in his introduction to his The Hebrew Bible vol 1 says ─Nope, the end of chapter 2 is the first time. Not sure if it matters for what you're saying, but, I think it's important for the story. There's word play in the Hebrew that is missing in the English that links the consummation of Adam and Eve with the serpent.
It would be even more apparent before the chapter divisions were added.
The tree of life was connected to natural instinct; inner self, which has a sense of naturally integrated limits. The tree knowledge of good and evil, is connected to the ego. This is more symbolic of learned knowledge from outside, such as fake news. External learning is how natural limits become exceeded; fad and marketing. Before Sin, there was no death.
