I'm sourcing the popularly used Fact Check here because it seems many people here claim it as being reliable and accurate.

It asked a very tough question.

The Fact Check article seems well researched and I accept their report including the conclusion There are few simple answers and links between crime and race are likely to remain the subject of bitter argument.

What I have not read is something which considers not only race but also an equivalence in home environment, school, role models (sports figures and criminals for too many blacks) and so forth. The Fact Check article points out that this test has not really been done.

My black friends, anecdotal evidence I've read and so forth leads me to believe that if blacks and whites were equal in having the same kind of home environment, equivalent schools, positive role models, job prospects and so forth, the crime rates would be the same.

There can't be any accurate stats.
The massive number or crimes and the costs of taxation evasion and bribery which are not discovered would munch present stats into pulp.

Who are the super rich and very wealthy? There you go.... !

This sort of thing makes the conversations difficult. People aren't super precise, then get all emotional when they don't get the response that they want.
I certainly don't mean this personally, it's just a constant problem making subtlety and nuances frustrating. It kinda kills the communications.

I think so too.

When colored people specifically were brought into the slave trade primarily by Southern Democrats, there's no question of incurring a disadvantage right at the offset. No education, little skill afforded.... People start coming to wrong conclusions based on skin and ethnicity as it pertains to intelligence and capability.

When people are in that situation a lot would understandably turn to crime because nobody else would give him or her a chance or an opportunity on an equal basis and there will be a need to survive. Social ostracization occurred and I think it's been that way ever since.

Yeah, it was after the fact.

Based on per capita statistics, more crime arguably applies, however I don't mind mods changing the title to fit the link appropriately to avoid misrepresentation of the source material.

Never understood a argument to judge people by the color of their skin. A--holes come in all colors. And it's just as easy to find decent folks of different skin tones as well.

Even among the poor you get decent folks and a--holes.

Hell, I had to steal to survive when my parents abandoned me. Always willing to share the food I stole with the other kids.

Certainly among the very rich there's a disproportionate number of A holes, I would think most of the financial/economic crime, robbery, fraud etc is committed by the super rich.
