Do Christians Secretly Believe Jesus Walks Among Us?

Here’s what AI has to say about it.

While many Christians believe the Bible has a clear message, there is a widely held view that the Bible contains deeper, sometimes hidden meanings beyond the surface level interpretation, which may not be commonly discussed in everyday Christian conversations, often involving symbolism, allegory, and interpretations that vary across denominations and individual perspectives.

Since we are using AI, here is what it says. Some people believe in hidden meanings, and other do not. AI makes no statement as to whether those hidden meanings actually exist.

And of course NONE of that has anything to do with whether you can read Christian minds.

You can keep thinking 2 billion Christians believe Jesus Christ died for our sins 2000 years ago, was raised three days later, is now in heaven with God and will return in the end times.
Yeah, because they do. I'm not paranoid and don't believe everyone is lying to me. I can only recommend you speak to a mental health professional. It's sounding like more than just a quirky belief.

They wouldn’t tell you that’s for sure because no one wants to look cuckoo and Christianity is what God gave them and it’s too big to change, plus God didn’t tell people the truth for a good reason.

I’m not paranoid just untrusting. I’ve experienced paranoia before and it’s debilitating.

I myself know nothing!! Jesus words are in the Gospels - I read them and believe them to be true. :)
Why do you think Jesus' words are in the gospels? Jesus didn't write any of the gospels. They were collections of stories about Jesus written decades after his death, meaning that actual history would have been blended with legend and myth. We can use our rational minds to say, "Well, this is more likely to have actually been said, but this other thing is not." But at best, we are making intelligent guesses.

Jesus disciples and followers we're so out of touch with reality, they went out to teach that Jesus rose from the dead, some were tortured and murdered believing this was a truthful fact.

Yeah, I’ve read about this guy. A cold case detective.

He presents some good points. His conclusions support the events occurring in the Gospels as factual.

It’s nice to put a face with the name.

Can I ask you some questions?
Yes, that was an easy start, thanks
A man walking out of a tomb after being dead is pretty extraordinary don’t you think?
Yes
This is no small thing to proclaim.
Well, if I have seen it then it's easy to proclaim
What could be driving such a fantastical claim?
Personal experience
We’re living in the same world he supposedly lived in.
True
Do you think these fantastical things only exist in his time?
No, not just in His time. I have seen myself some
All that I ask of someone is if they’re going to believe such fantastical claims that they really give it some full thought before coming to a conclusion about what they actually believe in the realm of miracles and miraculous events.
You phrased it very friendly

I have no doubt that these miracles might have happened. I've seen similar miracles happen. I am not a true believer ... I only believe after I see and experience myself

My Master told us "Common sense before Divine Sense", hence "blind faith" fortunately is not asked of me.

Once I know from personal experience then I have blind Faith. 'God loves it when we ask Him'
e.g.: My Guru told me, after I dedicated 10 years of my life to Him "you can only die, if I want" ... I took poison quite a few times to "know" for sure if it's true". After like 8 times my Guru told me "if you take it, I must take it out" ... Afterwards it didn't feel so good to continue testing Him, so I stopped. I was very glad that He did allow me my kamikaze tests though
(Note: don't do this youself, you might die, unless God Himself tells you)

Why do you think Jesus' words are in the gospels?
John 3:1 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

John 3:3 Jesus replied... Of course we will always have people that doubt words in the Bible. People that doubt this and that are never going away.

Couldn't I attack the validity of your comments? Yes, but I am not going to waste my time doing that.

You didn't answer my question. I'm going to give you another chance, and if you deflect again, I'm just going to move on. Ready?

If I can't reach you with what I have said already, I honestly don't know if it is possible? You win I really don't want to play this game.

Somebody gave the sermon on the Mount, but then again, according to you maybe it was Billy the stable boy who wrote it in secret.

Oh trust me. I actually really and truly do listen to people on these forums. There have been times when someone has said something to me that starts a buzz in my brain. I don't change my mind on a whim. Often I have to thing about these remarks for many years. But I've changed my mind on a number of very significant topics. I'm probably one of the most open minded people you will ever meet.

The thing is, my bar for what counts as evidence is pretty high. A lot of people just can't reach that.

Again, there is no way how much of the Sermon on the Mount or WHICH things within it were things actually taught by Jesus, or simply things later attributed to him.

I think there’s something in the Bible about people like you who require evidence.
