I mean a place of suffering where sinners stay forever.

Even in same faiths people have different ideas about hell.So do you believe in eternal hell?Based on what?

By eternal hell i don't mean things like death or being away from Gods glory.I mean a place of suffering , pain etc.

No. Can't see any reason such a place would be necessary.

I don't believe in everlasting hell. The hell I believe is state of suffering attained by souls due to which they are unable to reincarnate or trapped in diff realms.

I suspect you end up with others like yourself.
Therefore.....heaven for some.
Hell for most.

I believe the peace of heaven is guarded.
Few enter because few can.

The rest are left to themselves in the chaos without Someone in charge.

Escape from the chaos?....maybe.
Need help?....likely so.

Even as a Christian, I don't believe in some eternal oven where souls are roasted forever. In some of the books of the prophets (like Ezekiel) fire appears to be a symbol of purification. As for hell, itself, it might be a symbol of separation from God.

The word "hell" comes from many different sources meaning "the grave": Death.

I don't know. I accept reconcilation to or separation from God in the afterlife. I can only speculate what that might look like.

I too don't believe in an eternal hell. I believe in reincarnation/rebirth, but there may be an intermediate state where one might spend some time being purified, like burning off some karma. Catholics call it Purgatory, where sins are purged. I think of it sort of like that.

Nope, I don't believe in any kind of Hell. I think such a doctrine is irreconcilable with the concept of a loving God.

I agree. In the Bible, one version of Hell is represented as a crucible in which the soul is purify so he/she may unite with God. Another version shows hell as a trash heap, where the trash is burnt and destroyed forever.

I'll look up he verses

Wouldn't a loving God give you the afterlife you need or desire?

Yahushua will give a person an afterlife of peace and happiness only if that person has faith in Him.

Everyone has a choice.

As for the OP question.
Yes there are a 4 hells and they are Sheol, Hades, Tartarus and the Lake of Fire.

Has anyone here actually witnessed any of the 4 hells ?

i just want to see if my experiences match other people's experiences.

Not debating; I'd like to know your view.
What would the distinctions be between them?
Why would Tartarus not be equal to the Lake of Fire, and Hades to Sheol?

I view such concepts as heaven, hell, the underworld, etc. as metaphors for psychological states. So you could say that, on one level at least, it does exist.

I'm overall agnostic to any notion of an afterlife, but I 100% don't believe there is a "hell" of any sort.
