Disclaimer: Note that I'm strictly speaking as a regular member here and not in my capacity as an admin/staff member.

In my opinion, it is fair that members have a place to discuss their views without having to debate the basics thereof with anyone. The Feminist Only section is possibly my favorite place to post and read threads in on the forum because I get to discuss topics related to feminism without having to become involved in a debate when I do so, for example, and I value that particular aspect of it very much.

I personally can't say that I agree with capitalist ideas in general, but I don't have to agree with them to recognize that people who do would also like to have a space of their own for discussing their views among similar-minded people.

Change the masthead to Sodahead because that is what this site has become, we now have an imbalance and some views are now being overrepresented here. We had a balance and now that balance is over.

I agree with DS here. I'd like to add that I don't think it's fair to either RF's capitalist members, or to RF's owner, to call for monetarily penalizing the site just because you don't like some people's views. No one, so far as I can recall, called for monetarily penalizing the site when we instituted a socialist only forum.

I agree 100% with that. Why is the LGBT DIR kept in the closet?

Mmhmm. There's nothing for trans people on the public board. All there is "Sexuality" and trans topics don't fall under that. I'm often confused about where I should put my threads on trans topics, so they're kinda all over the place.

I don't want too, but now we have overrepresentation. Create an Anarchist Dir to counter this then

And lookie here: http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/capitalist-only/166375-thoughts-gmos.html

First thread they create is nothing more than a circle jerk with nothing but "I agree, pats back" followed by "I agree, pats back" then followed by "I agree, pats back", lather, rinse, repeat.

What a great start.
Oh, boo hoo.
Have you noticed that you aren't happy unless you're unhappy about something?
Face the fact that there will be people here with different values & beliefs,
& you just cannot prevent their discussing things among themselves.

It must be a cold day in hell because I agree with Revoltingest on this one.

That said, we now return to our regularly scheduled feuding.
