Thank you for the correction, But i was speaking to one that had told me that he had read all of the bible and yet he said that was all rubish. However for you it is inspiring, i stand corrected.
Do you understand the scriptures? Do you have a panoramic view of what is all about?:D

I will say this: I have not read the entire Bible.

I have, however, read all four gospels and have many times meditated on the teachings of Jesus the Sage. The Tanakh is full of wonderful stories, allegories, and applicabilities (what Tolkien referred to as meaning the reader finds rather than what the author intended), while the gospels are filled with great wisdom. (I'm not too big a fan of Paul's writings, but from him I've gained a better understanding of evangelical Christianity. Neither am I too big a fan of Revelations, but I'm not that big on prophecy in general, anyway; I like the future to be a surprise. :D)

I also believe the same wisdom, though worded very differently, can be found in all other major, and sometimes minor, religions as well. For example, Jesus taught to forsake the material world in favor of the spiritual world; this teaching is mirrored in nearly all Eastern religions like Hinduism and Buddhism.

So, just as Krsna says in the Bhagavad-Gita, there are many paths that lead to God.

The reason the Bible has lasted is because it can support a multiplicity of interpretations.

I don’t know anybody that has the Holy Spirit 24/7 x52, are you such a person? I know of no one that practices righteousness always. Do you?
If I say I was perfect, I would be exulting myself, and that is not a virtue of Christianity, a Christian let others judge him. He is judged by what he does, and from the words that come out of his mouth.
However I do have the gift of the Holy Spirit, I did not earned him he was a gift. For when the Lord nocked on the door of my heart he found me faithful. He did not find me perfect, so he his leading me there through repentance. In other words he found me with the character of sinful men, and now he is teaching me the character of God, which is to love my neighbour like self.:D

So Christ has said.

And I believe the message is found in other texts as well, each worded differently for different people.

Christ did say "I am the Truth, the Way, and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me." in John 14:6. But I don't think in said anywhere that this message going to be in the Bible alone, and I doubt Christ would have come only to the Jews. Rather, he had a message for them, but they weren't the first he came to, and neither were they the last.

Yes you are correct, for God shows no partiality we are all his children, and he puts his will in the heart of men, that is why different people in different lands has the same story.
However man by himself cannot fulfill the law, which is his will. Therefore he did more for us; In order to help us to himself he took flesh and came among us, to fulfill the law of God for us by dieing sinless, doing that he also created the first holy human soul, therefore his soul was glorified by God and the first human soul become one with God.
For that reason He is the only one that can lead us to God, because by coming into our heart he knows our weaknesses, then he can trace a path for us to follow, your path is different from my to the extent of our difference of sins and character, he is the way because only he knows the way of repentance:angel2:

Yes Sojourner it is true, but if I write you a set of instructions to build a beautiful giraffe, and you pass them on to others, my instructions will eventually get distorted, and so they will build not what i intendet, but a monster. And some people like you knows that it is not right, and blame me for giving the wrong instruction. However despite all the misunderstanding the instructions are very simple. "Love your neigbour as yourself" But If some group of people wants to make it hard for themsenves, what can I or God do? We can only keep on telling them.

That is but one Way, but I would hardly say that it is the only Way to God. It's just the one given to the Roman-occupied Mediterranean; the one that was needed for those people.

I believe that God came to many people and gave them many messages depending on the people. The Way of Vedanta doesn't require, though it can be supplemented with, the Way of Christ because the teachings in the Vedas and Upanishads are nearly identical; in a sense, the Hindus had the teachings of Jesus thousands of years before Jesus walked the earth.

In my eyes, the Spiritual Way is a Maze, one where the end is not clear. There are many paths that lead to the end, each with its own guide. Of course there are pitfalls and dead ends, and those who are tricksters leading people down the wrong path.

The end is God, but there are many routes that can be taken. The Way of Christ is but one of them. That's my opinion, anyway. :D

This is where replacement Theology has distorted the Truth.

Yeshua/Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth and the life (in other words the Torah) no one come to the Father, but by me/Torah.

The word made flesh. Word = Torah. Word of the Lord/ word of God= Torah.
Yeshua = Torah.
But he answered, "It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’" Life in the word. I am the way, and the truth and the life.

Shalom

For John, though, "word" does not = "Torah."
And you're mixing John's perspective with Matthew's. Matthew's POV and approach to the gospel is completely different from John.

In Matt. the word, "word" is remos. In John, it's logos. Two different words. Not the same idea.

I have a thread in this forum that has been inactive for a long time titled.
Do you have a call to a ministry? Perhaps you would like to post in it, this Holy Spirit infilling is very interesting and from what I know of it the gift bring lots suffering to those that possess it, do you believe that every interpretation that you have of the OT is inspired? I believe in the staying in His presence concept and we all are capable of been at God’s presence but it isn’t a permanent condition so there are times when we are not in the presence and our interpretation can be wrong.

Yes my mind has been open to understand the scriptures, therefore that understanding is with me 24x7 x52 and 6 hours. But if I thing of something different the wisdom is still there but I am allowed to roam, like Jesus said in John 10 - 9, "I am the door; if anyone enters through me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."

(Yes but the suffering is not because you posses the Holy Spirit but the suffering come because no one believes you, or your revelations, and they want you out of their church.)

The old testament is just that "old." the last will and testament of God is in the new testament, for we read in john 1 - 17, "For the law was given through Moses grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ."
When we are learning our hunderstanding of the scriptures are fluid, but when you get to the divine understanding they will freeze.
Proverbe 9 - 10, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy one is understanding."
Therefore if you understad you are in the presence of the Lord.

I do appreciate and respect your opinion: and in part it is true, because all religions that teaches righteouseness are getting the believer closer to God.
However Jesus is the only one that can lead you into the kingdom of God, because he is the only spirit that knows you even better than yourself.

The old testament is just that "old." the last will and testament of God is in the new testament, for we read in john 1 - 17, "For the law was given through Moses grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ."

And there, is a problem because:
Mat 5:17
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Are you saying that the Law was abolished?
Jhn 5:45
"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.
Now this says to me that the Law still applied to God’s chosen people, the old covenant which is not our covenant, as you said we are under a new one, we are under Grace.

But we are not saved by what we know; we are saved by Grace (unmerited favor) unless of course you are a Gnostic.

Yes but the suffering is not because you posses the Holy Spirit but the suffering come because no one believes you, or your revelations, and they want you out of their church
All churches have members that are Holy Spirit filled, have you give any thought to the fact that they may have revelations that you are wrong? I am sorry but I find it hard to believe that this can be a reason for them wanting you to leave their church.

How do you explain this: no one believes you, or your revelations?

That would be the case, if God were a king.

I don't think God is a king.

God is the ultimate of abstracts, in my opinion. God cannot be defined, nor can God be visualized or represented.

God is the goal of the Way. I don't know what that means.

Jesus the Sage is but a guide, one of many, in my opinion. There have been many Sages in the past, and there are many Sages now.

That statement was never intended to be an absolute. The context is that Jesus said he was going, and where he was going, they would come. They said, "How can we come if we don't know the way." Jesus said, "You do know the way, because I am the way.

This is not a comparison of religions. It is an assurance of what the disciples know.

I don't think God is a king. He is the ruler of the univers, king is a ruler.

God is the ultimate of abstracts, in my opinion. God cannot be defined, nor can God be visualized or represented. God was and is represented by his son Jesus Christ.

God is the goal of the Way. I don't know what that means. Immagin you have to go some place, therefore you must know the way: the way is called repentance and at the end of the way there is God. Repentance Jesus and God are one and the same.

Jesus the Sage is but a guide, one of many, in my opinion. There have been many Sages in the past, and there are many Sages now.
But there is only one son of God.
