:praying: probably god does not exist
unto those who never know how to have a compassion unto his own fellow humans

as they say
even some people will shout the
name of god and always sayin
that he will be glorified by his name

but
in truth
god does not exist unto their heart
coz some of those people
who says they believed in god
rejects the very words of god
and
thats is
as it is written

Romans 13:9
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
10 Love does not harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

John 14:23
Jesus answered him, "Those who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will go to them and make our home with them.
24 A person who doesn't love me doesn't do what I say. I don't make up what you hear me say. What I say comes from the Father who sent me.

so as it is written

Hebrews 13:5
Don't love money. Be happy with what you have because God has said, "I will never abandon you or leave you."

Matthew 7:15
"Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves.
16 You will know them by what they produce. "People don't pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles, do they?

:praying: just returning the favor
unto those people who says
they believed in god
but
do not believed
unto the words of their god
and instead
putting blamed unto those people
who never believe in god/gods like i was before
and though i accept the words of god
it doesnt mean
that i'll abandon my fellow atheist before
if i may say so
indeed

If you say so. But what does that have to do with this thread?

:praying: perhaps some christians doesn't know the real meaning of being a christian at all
so as it is written

Matthew 5:43
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.'
44 But I tell you this: Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.
45 In this way you show that you are children of your Father in heaven. He makes his sun rise on people whether they are good or evil. He lets rain fall on them whether they are just or unjust.
46 If you love those who love you, do you deserve a reward? Even the tax collectors do that!
47 Are you doing anything remarkable if you welcome only your friends? Everyone does that!

from my own point of view
yeah its me :praying: and this is my own opinion
that loving your enemy
means do not do the things that they do
for example your enemy believed in god/gods
but
denying the very words of their god/gods
then let us not do those things
with god/gods or without god/gods
that is

Created meaning is subjective. I'm seeking objectivity.
Objective or not, it is important to consider whether one believes there is a meaning and purpose to it all, which leads me to think theism should naturally lead to non-nihilistic tendencies. When someone doesn't believe in any sort of theism then there is no reason to think the cosmos have any ultimate intentions.

Nonsense, people find meaning to their lives in all sorts of ways, religious belief is only one option.

Two different words can have the same meaning when deconstructed logically.
Essentially; if one is not part of a spiritual process, one acts in service of the ego.
As the ego eventually is always destroyed, (unlike the soul) any non-spiritual pursuit leads to nothingness: nihilism.

No they aren't.

Though I do find it interesting how most of the nihilists I know are theists....
I suspect it is because they have been brainwashed into thinking they must serve a god in order to have any purpose.

There IS a vast difference between belligerent nagging to go to an idol-worshiping church, and,
genuine interaction with the Divine essence.

Hey Rival,

I'm late to the thread, and I must admit I didn't read it all, so back to the OP with the hope that this ground hasn't been covered...

A couple of questions:

1 - Should we assume from your OP that when you embrace a religion you feel less nihilistic? If so, why?
2 - It sounds like you're also mingling some relativism into your soup here, is that correct?
