Well, don't you believe in a heaven with love and divine love. Love may be all that matters objectively.Because as others have said, all meaning is subjective, even my Christian lens. As long as objective meaning eludes me I am a nihilist.

aTheism and Nihilism are in effect, the same.
I do but it's not a major part of my belief. I wouldn't care if there were no heaven. Scripture states that no-one who dies actually goes to heaven yet (apart from the Saints); that only happens post-Judgement.Well, don't you believe in a heaven with love and divine love. What is a major part of your belief?I do but it's not a major part of my belief.
The Death, Deity and Resurrection of Christ. What is a major part of your belief?
Thanks for the answer. But what do those things mean to your life? The Death, Deity and Resurrection of Christ.
Knowing exactly my purpose...
What's meaningless objectively?Created meaning is subjective. I'm seeking objectivity.
Ahah.aTheism and Nihilism are in effect, the same.
No they aren't.aTheism and Nihilism are in effect, the same.
Why the self imposed martyrdom? As long as objective meaning eludes me I am a nihilist.
I don't see it as anything of the sort. I was just stating a fact. I didn't mean it to come across as self-martydom at all. Is calling oneself a nihilist a loaded phrase? If it is I never knew. I am a nihilist because that is how I see the world, it's just...what I am? :/Why the self imposed martyrdom?
You are a self martyr because of your added conditional modifier "objective".I don't see it as anything of the sort. I was just stating a fact. I don't understand. You are a self martyr because of your added conditional modifier "objective".
this:I don't understand.
As long as objective meaning eludes me I am a nihilist.
I fail to see the problem. I believe there is no objective meaning to life, therefore I am a nihilist. What's so bad about that?this:
Interesting that you assume a problem.I fail to see the problem. I believe there is no objective meaning to life, therefore I am a nihilist. What's so bad about that?
Then what do you mean by 'self-imposed martyrdom'? I don't want to make of myself any kind of martyr.Interesting that you assume a problem.
Interesting that you assume some sort of "bad"...
I am merely curious as to the why of your self imposed martyrdom.
Seems to me you are beating yourself up looking for something you know does not exist. Then what do you mean by 'self-imposed martyrdom'? I don't want to make of myself any kind of martyr.
I wouldn't be the first.Seems to me you are beating yourself up looking for something you know does not exist.
