Does believing, thinking or feeling something is true actually make it true?

All I know is that 1) @Ignatius apparently loves to argue, and 2) that the article doesn't imply that sex and gender are both related to biology.
I'm discussing it with you not arguing and I just disagree with you. I didnt say sex and gender are both related to biology. In fact I said the exact opposite. I swear half the people that talk about this it's just rote repetition.

The article differentiated the two as well. Look at post #209. I don't care if we agree or disagree for the record. I am simply pointing something out.

Well, you let me know when you're done changing the minds of the entire medical, biological, psychological, social and anthropologic disciplines.

Have fun.
I'm not here to change anyone's mind. Is the fact that they all agree supposed to be impressive? The best legal minds in America at one time thought slavery was just okie dokie. I'm not impressed by experts necessarily. Although years ago I needed surgery and the first surgeon I went to was expert enough to know he didn't have the skill to do surgery but referred me to someone who did. That's an expert.

Well, in a sense all human behaviour is related to biology, because you require biology to have all the different kind of human behaviour. And gender is a part of that.

So you are an expert of truth and you know your limitaitions when it comes to the concept of truth, right?

You wouldn't post if you didn't want to argue/change minds. Your entire premise has been "prove me wrong"
I personally think he loves to argue. I actually agree with most of what he is saying but I can't seem to get that through to him. Or maybe he just isn't researching well.

What I mean is I can't change your mind only you can do that. I can give you my point of view and you can integrate it or reject it like you have, thats yours not mine. People disagree with me but that's not the same as I am wrong. And vice versa.

I dont mind "arguing". Get through to me about what? You and I disagreed on the anorexia example. I dont know why we would give a person with anorexia a diet because they think they are fat.

But you are wrong. Just because you haven't the comprehension to understand that is no one else's problem. But you've made it such through repeatedly asking the same inane questions, then ignoring the presented evidence and answers.

You could leave well enough alone and not bring it up since you're obviously "right". Yet, here we are.

You kept imp;lying that I was saying to treat others as THEY want to be treated and I was saying to treat others as YOU want to be treated. You don't know how her doctors or dieticians feel about any of this or if they are even Christians who follow Christ's teachings on this. It's all hypothetical.

Your evidence isnt convincing. You think it is. You think because the entire medical, biological, psychological, social and anthropologic disciplines agree with you then rn you must be right. Consensus doesn't make something true.

What I basically told you, @Ignatius A. is that I recommend that you minimize interactions with someone who is anorexic, and point them in the direction of qualified doctors and dieticians for a diet, and if you must interact with her, then treat her the way YOU would want to be treated. Period.

I don't know why either, and I am not a doctor or a dietician so I won't be giving anyone a diet. You either. We're off the hook!
