Haha. Have you read the thread? 58 percent say Christman has nothing to do with Christ.

Yes, most people think Christmas is to do with Santa. :p

No not scripture. Human nature. You said "Who said I needed refinement? I certainly never said I needed any. We all do though, as we are all imperfect." See how you say you (didn't say) you needed refinement" and we all need refinement? You being a part of the all need refinement so you DO say you need refinement.
I told you that I never "said" I needed it in my comment. I also subsequently told you that we all need refinement. M

Well, God Almighty said to have NOTHING to do with, and to not touch the unclean thing. Pagandom is where the December 25th, 12 day celebration originated.

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps I have learned the truth and have found it lacking?
Or is your "position" that one cannot turn from the truth once it is learned?
The truth is absolute meaning it lacks nothing otherwise, it's not the truth.

Your misuse of thie above scripture...

Is it dishonesty or merely ignorance?
Based on your claims of Biblical superiority one would think it cannot be ignorance, right?
Ignorance is just lack of knowledge. Your lack of the truth, and that is, knowledge, is the only reason why we have this argument in the first place.

You argued that my God does not exist, but according to the bible, God is real. I believed that God is real and that is the truth, and that truth is knowledge, therefore am I lacking knowledge or ignorance of this truth? NO! Then who is? Not me.

Am I being dishonest about this knowledge, this truth about God, as far as you and I are concerned? No! Therefore I am neither “dishonest” nor “ignorant” of this knowledge, this truth about God.

These same folks who think this is not Pagan have the same issues with Easter.

Is there one Christian among us who does not have a tree in their house?

An idea from another thread, does Xmas have anything to do with Christ?

Just vote and comment if you want.
For me, Christmas is about Christ. While I don't know the actual day in which Christ was born, Christmas is the day I celebrate His birth.

And nobody is telling you that you can't do that. You're certainly welcome to celebrate anything on any day you happen to choose. That doesn't mean that most people are going to do that, or just because you do something, that makes that day somehow magically special. In the United States at least, and it's largely true through the rest of the world that celebrates Christmas as well, Christmas is primarily a secular holiday. Most people celebrate it in primarily a secular way. Very few celebrate it only religiously. Some add religious elements to their secular celebration. That's the nice thing about America, everyone has the right to celebrate it how they wish.

Of course. The question of the OP was, "Does Christmas have anything to do with Christ?" And my answer shows that Christmas has everything to do with Christ. How other people celebrate Christmas doesn't take anything away from the fact that Christmas has everything to do with Christ, even if only for me.

Jesus was not born on the 25th of december and it never mentions it in the holy scriptures.God never commands this day to be celebrated either.Like it was stated,it coincides with Saturnalia.
For me, it doesn't matter what the day of Christmas coincides with. For me Christmas has nothing at all to do with pagan rituals and celebrations. For me, Christmas is only about Christ.

Oh yeah, The End

Ignorance is just lack of knowledge. Your lack of the truth, and that is, knowledge, is the only reason why we have this argument in the first place.
Argument?
Not much of an "argument" when you simply make bold empty claims and I point out your bold empty claims are nothing but bold empty claims.

You argued that my God does not exist,
I did?
Really?
Please present the post where I argued god does not exist.

but according to the bible, God is real.
According to harry potter...
Please note that I see no reason to hold the Bible as any truer that Harry Potter or The Lord Of The Rings.

I believed that God is real and that is the truth, and that truth is knowledge, therefore am I lacking knowledge or ignorance of this truth? NO! Then who is? Not me.
Looks like you got lost somewhere between the beginning of that salad and the end.

Am I being dishonest about this knowledge, this truth about God, as far as you and I are concerned? No! Therefore I am neither “dishonest” nor “ignorant” of this knowledge, this truth about God.
There is that consistency again.
Bold empty claims abound.

Just have to reveal a secret here. I have a nativity scene (and tree and such too of course), and I'm not a Christian! :D

I think the traditions and the concepts of Christ, Santa Claus, celebration, and food, lots'a food, is all awesome.

Yes, I have a Christmas tree in the house, but it has nothing at all to do with me. It's there because my wife wanted it there. I helped decorate it because my wife wanted me to help decorate it. But I really couldn't care less if it was there or not. I put lights on the house too, but not because I think putting lights on the house is how one should celebrate the birth of Christ. I put lights on the house because my wife wanted lights on the house. We put presents under the tree too, but not because I want to put presents under the tree. My wife wants the presents under the tree. I couldn't care any less for what Christmas has become to so many people. For me, the only meaningful thing about Christmas is Christ.
