When talking about Christmas and other holidays...you actually do. See, I think you misunderstood my last post. We can clearly see that the "meaning" of the holiday is quite different than the "origin(s)" of the holiday. Now...it's fine if "YOU" want to deny the history of the holiday but that doesn't make them any less true....
I'm sorry, Christmas is the day I celebrate the birth of Christ. It has always been the day I have celebrated the birth of Christ. Never in history was Christmas for me a day of pagan worship. Honestly, you can think what you like to think about Christmas. But the Christmas I know was never a pagan holiday.

I know you don't...but they are the roots of the holiday along with numerous other traditions. The meaning of Christmas may very well be completely different than the origins of Christmas. The meaning is different to every believer but the origins are a historical fact.
What difference does the origins of Christmas make to those who have made meaning of Christmas?

hey Son,
Do you have a decorated tree in your dwelling, with lights and ornaments and all ?
I guess exchanging gifts one to another, we used to change names, now we get small gifts.
When the grandchildren grew up everything changed a little, there's no Santa any more.
And the bunny, and eggs disappeared also, no Easter mass ever.
~
so, Son, what you have here is a pagan celebration whether you like it or not..
But.....it's ok if you would like to celebrate Jesus' birth also, He wouldn't mind at all.
Happy holidays to you and yours
and a Merry Christmas also.

The thread has turned into is there anything pagan about Christmas. Isn't there something pagan about everything? Even God's temple was touched by pagan once or more. So if would be wrong to judge people unrighteous, weak or false who participate in it because the one judging is also touching something unrighteous, uncertain or false.

The biggest issue I see is, the Christmas Season is largely unchristian.

You would think one could figure out when the Star of Bethlehem was in the position to lead the wise men and we could move away from celebrating Pagan holidays under the guise of "Christianity".

I did?

Really?

Please present the post where I argued god does not exist.
You have not presented a fact.

You have merely presented your opinion as though it were fact.

It matters not how much you like your opinion, it is nothing but opinion until you can show it is a fact.

You will first need to show that your god actually exists and is not just yet another of your opinions.

Now since you are not the least bit interested in supporting your claims, I shall not be holding my breath.

Yes, it is indeed. But I don't mind, it makes her happy. And I have found it to be in my best interest when my wife is happy.
While I understand and have done the same thing before, what are you going to do when everyone wants your family to take the mark to buy or sell?

Seriously, Christians should move away from Pagan holidays and traditions and you should lead your family instead of just going along to receive her favor.

What I see all to often is Luke warm Christianity at best. The Churches are full of hypocrites and the followers moving away from our Lord to pacify the mainstream.

Not everyone who cries Lord Lord will enter the kingdom, IMHO. Why even bother to pretend your house is in order?

According to harry potter...

Please note that I see no reason to hold the Bible as any truer that Harry Potter or The Lord Of The Rings.
You really do like FANTASY BOOKS, huh? But you have to give them the credit they deserve when you “QUOTE” them. Plagiarism is a form of copyright –not COPY WRITE- infringement.

If all Christians moved away from the pagan holiday of Christmas it would still be sponsored by The King of God's Kingdom Jesus Christ. Wouldn't it be like everyone deserting him?

Not at all, the date should be changed away from Pagan Equinox traditions.

If people want to enjoy the Winter Solstice, Yule, Jewish Holidays I have no issue with that, we should be smart enough to put a more realistic date on the Birth of Christ and celebrate on that date and quit pretending.

Trees, lights, all the non religious hoopla is disrespectful to Jesus IMHO

I disagree. Trees and lights are disrespectful to Earth. I think if Jesus were to look upon the beautiful decorations he would enjoy them the same way most people do. I think the customs are not offensive in and of themselves. It is the fact that the holiday seasons cause a wandering away from righeousness which is folly. If we could handle both, then fine! But we can't. I personally can, but nobody is like me.

Getting the right date to make it righteous is vanity. It can't be done.

The way it is now is good in that it brings believers in Jesus (the real Jesus) together with everyone else. What is wrong with that?

Interesting how you ignore the meat of the post, once again.
You tend to do that when you have backed yourself into a corner.

The truth is always consistent no matter what. IOW, it cannot lie
I agree.
That does not stop you or any one else from lying about it.

The interesting thing is how you repeatedly claim truth but offer up nothing to indicate your claims are anything but wishful thinking.

I predict yet another diversion tactic...
