Does God exist....

Above things will happen, even if God is truly present.. We have to figure out something else to prove God is not there else by several signs in this world it proves there is someone who has Supreme power over humans life, Sun, moon, nature and its laws etc.

Although I see the beauty and pattern in nature and its laws and give reverence to life (not nature itself), I see no evidence that there is a "supreme" power "over" life. No adjective but what we place on it. Nature is not beautiful outside our definitions of it nor was it created by a supreme power other than how we want to or need to see it as so. Maybe that's a way to cope by creating and having a source? Can a human live without trying to find the source or even more so define the source of creation? What is behind the need to do so but from our own psychological needs?

Sometimes I don't think it is psychological needs, because I know personally I never needed nor wanted to find the source of creation. Spirituality, for me, was interconnection with nature and myself not trying to find the source behind it and connect with the source rather than the creation and the person bonding with creation his/herself.

Why the "supreme"? Why look for a source? What's behind that? If it is not psychological (assuming, here), then what is it?

What were you...an impure drop and now you are grown up and posting here.. We were no where and now we are here.. And it did not happened for one or two.. Its still happening, humans are coming to life one after other... From no where.. And our life to exist.. needs
multiple factors.. oxygen, Water air.. Accurate distance from sun, food etc etc etc.. And whom you do you think is fulfilling or fulfilled those requirements..

Now when we are here...
What is the purpose of our life.. Who will tell you.... Or do you think we are just like animals.. To eat when hungry, drink when thirsty, do Sex when feel to . Fight for our properties.. etc..

I don't like your "tone".

I never thought about "what is the purpose of life? Where we come from?" and so forth. All of my childhood and young adult hood was "When is my next seizure? Will I go to school today? What is the survival perentage on the brain surgery I will have?"

Maybe tragic situations bring people to God, a lot do. I didn't have that experience.

Instead, I had a wonderful experience that I don't need to know where I came from (as in who the first human was). As a Buddhist, I had a wonderful experience of knowing that we need to accept the cycle of birth and death and that our purpose is not to find an end goal but to live the present without suffering.

Also, I value knowing about my ancestors that are related to me but not to the extent of finding if I am related to a monkey or am I created from dirt. I was taught we came from the water, that's what I believe, that's how I practice, and that's just basically me.

We are animals. We do have primal instincts for survival. We are not special in that respects. Are we just animals? No. I value all of life on the same level. Unfortunately, we have to kill some life in order to eat to survive; I disagree with it and it is something I cannot change. I do not place animals below me. That is just, well, wrong. That's with anything. I don't care for any belief or belief system that disvalues any living being, plant, animal, and any other part of nature.

It is okay that you and many find a Creator in "creation"; and, that is okay. Not everyone sees creation from a Creator. That doesn't deminish the same importance and perspective you see creation as they see it. We are different. No one person better than the other.

arbitrary 'definitions', imo; you aren't describing me when you describe 'theists', but i'm a theist

Ah but you assume that theists are necessarily different from you? I'm basically the same way when it comes to Deity, however, there is more to the discussion than simply our perspectives that do not involve any of these terms, or themes. So, in essence, you can be adhered to an concept aside from some innate or personal seeking, etc. ,

arbitrary separation, imo, you aren't describing me when you describe 'theists', but i'm a theist
Are you refering to my OP? You are right, I do believe I am different. I am not a theist. That's what makes me different than one who says he or she is no matter how that person defines what theist means to them.

The last part. In my post, I didn't refer to theist. What post are you refering to?

The post I quoted.
There is no reference to theist nor context of it in my post. I was saying that yes, we are animals and no, I never had that thought "where did we come from? Where are we from?" I was taught we came from water. That's just me. I value all life. I don't disvalue it. That's a summary of my last post.

Where did the theist comment come from? I'm at a lost.

Apologies, if unknowingly I hurt you..

I see there are many differences in peoples thinking, belief... And we cannot judge anyone wrong or right..because everyone are equal...
There has to be someone who are above us.. like.. Our God[emoji16] .. Who can let us know what is right and wrong, the way we should live, the way we should believe.. The way we should treat other... So we have to think over the prophet's he had sent to us.. (why do you think there are so many religions)

We should not belief, follow or start thinking the way we are told to... God has given every individual brain to differentiate between truth and false.

I have noticed, people from other belief apart from Islam (with an exception) someway or the other, disagree with their own religion teachings or become an atheist..

I see that too, people leave their faith or become atheist. I do find it sad; and, in some ways, I understand. To me, God (which I don't use the word because it's tie to Abrahamic thought) Is life. He didn't created it (He's not a he). In Nichiren Buddhism, we call Life (the "spirit or umf") behind life, the Mystic Law. We believe that Shakyamuni came to enlightenment: perfect wisdom, knowledge, and peacefulness. As a regular human getting to that peace of mind (which I see some people today get to), makes me jeleous. Nichiren Buddhist (and some sects, probably)believe that the Lotus Sutra is the Buddha's most important teaching. It teaches us about the Lotus: The simultaneouus nature of the cycle of birth and death (just as the flower blooms and makes seeds simultaneously).

There is no God in this picture because the Mystic Law makes up what all life is. From the little atom to the complex brain. We don't talk about the Mystic Law as a being; but the Law or primary principle of life itself.

When it comes to humans, we see the Mystic Law not only in life, we see it in others and ourselves because we are a part of life too. That "umf" or spirit maybe what other religions call the Creator. I am still trying to find a universal word for the spirit. Closest we got here was Truth.

Anyway, my thing is, why look outside of yourselve to find yourself?

There are many signs of Allah..

Who is the king of all that is in the heavens and the earth, who is the owner of every creatures known or unknown, owner of laws (science and philosophy) etc..

Why should I believe the teachings of Buddha..???

The Qur'an is the book of Almighty Allah and Its hard really very hard to believe by those who are unaware of it...

I only know the Christian view of the Creator. Sheading some view of Allah in relation to the Quran can give me a better perspective of what you are saying "according to your faith".

In my opinion, you and everyone else already following the teachings of the Buddha. What do you believe the Buddha's teachings are? I dont mind sharing if you want hear them "according to my faith"?

I found thats the problem on RF. We read posts according to what we think others believe. Example, if you are Muslim I may attach a silly political fix to your post. However, once you tell me what you believe and not just your faith or source of religion and connect it to your points (as christians overly do with scripture), it gives me a perspective from your point of view.

Thats why I share the Buddhas teachings (from Nichiren Buddhism. Not all "denominations" are not the same) so you see my points though My source of faith.

As Well.

For definition of Allah, read Qur'an ch 112.
And notice.. no where in this world, universe anyone fits in that definition.
