Does God want everyone to believe in him?

you've never known love?

Yes. Love from and for my family, my friends, etc. I know you are going to declare an emotion is God but an emotion does not make an entity. You apologist is irrational as you are merely declaring something is from God as if declaring a definition make something exist nor more than laughter or hate make the Joker real.

Not accepted. It's reasonable to believe in things which have been proved accurate multiple times in the past. It is not reasonable to believe in that which is undetectable by any means devised.

Not accepted. You can call it "Belief" if you'd like, but it's faith. You have faith in your Dr. to prescribe the right medication. You don't know if the night before you go to your Dr. he/she had a breakdown and is giving you the wrong medicine. It's faith to get in your car that you have driven hundreds of times and had no problem, you get where you're going and back home. Then one day, by faith that you're done it so many times before, you have a flat tire or you car breaks down. You still get in your car without a thought of not making it back home without any problems. If a person lived to be 40 years old, do they go to bed every night worrying if they will wake up in the morning? They have faith in the unknown that they will. Nothing is guaranteed in this life, no matter how often something happens, but we have faith in the unknown that it will continue to happen.

you're an apologist. so you're projecting your irrational.

the bible states that god is love. the Law in the OT and judaism states that to love is the whole of the Law.

if you have known love, then you have known god.

be still and know thyself.

love transcends space, time, cultures, philosophies, religions, ideologies, sexes, genders, ethnicity, persons.

some people get hungup on the exoteric and words at the expense of the fruit, the idea.

Wrong, faith is a belief without any reason or evidence.

So that is an incorrect example.

An example of faith is believing in nesse.

Ok and I can write in a book god is love and that the book is true.

If the Christian god is love then how come he tortures people for eternity?

It's not by God's choice who goes to hell, it's our choice.

Deu 30:19-20 (ESVST) 19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, 20 loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them."

Wrong again.

If god exists, then god allowed this to happen, and gave us no evidence to believe in him.

i'm not christian in the general sense dear, or jewish. i don't prostitute myself in idolatry. holy books are like rorschach tests. some see what they see because of past experience. you thought you saw a christian idolator.

Not accepted. You can call it "Belief" if you'd like, but it's faith. You have faith in your Dr. to prescribe the right medication.

Wrong as doctors are required to pass a mass medical program at university which grants them certification. They must also pass the standards of the state in regards to medical practices. There is a clear trail of evidence which one can evaluate to see if their doctor is qualified or a quack. Besides if my doctor was shown to be a quack I can get another doctor and sue my old one for malpractice as can the state.

You don't know if the night before you go to your Dr. he/she had a breakdown and is giving you the wrong medicine.

That is why pharmacist also have medical degrees. There is a chain of authority everyone goes through to receive medication and each has access to medical records. The pharmacist could see an issue thus prevent a doctor from percribing dangerous medicine. Also I can go to a different doctor for another opinion. I can go to 5 doctors if I wanted to. Besides I have an example. My doctor gave me medication for asthma for years that never worked. My pharmacist talk to me about it and found a medication that could work better. He talked to my doctor about it. My doctor later talked to me about it. In the end the new medication worked wonders. As you can see there are checks and balances within the system and check any individual can take themselves.

It's faith to get in your car that you have driven hundreds of times and had no problem, you get where you're going and back home.

Which is nothing like you previous example or God since driving involves and accepting that there are other individuals that could hit your car. Everyone accept this risk when they get into their car willingly or unwittingly.

Then one day, by faith that you're done it so many times before, you have a flat tire or you car breaks down.

Tires are limited in use, durability and "lifespan". Getting a flat tire once in your life is to be expected.

Nothing more than fear mongering over trivial points which does nothing to establish your claims.

the bible doesn't teach that love exists apart from man. the dwelling place of god is with man. the kingdom of heaven comes from within. heaven and hell are states of mind. the person's actions show their state of mind, metapsychology.

Seeing as we are discussing the Christian god then I am correct in assuming you where speaking about the Christian god regardless of your religion.

So what reason or evidence do you have to believe that the mechanics or electrical parts of your car will work when you go out to start it? Was your car built with indestructible parts? Is the electrical components made of everlasting materials? Because you started your car this morning, can you be sure it will start the next time you get in it?

So you choose to interpret the bible in the way that supports the view you wish is correct?

No I use reason to try to gauge the probability.

everything is open to interpretation, even in science. there are no absolutes.

especially with new evidence contrary to established belief.

again it's a rorschach test. it says more about the observer than the observed.
