Does Trump have less political experience than any other President we've ever had?

I was going to say Washington, but even he was a delegate to the Continental Congress before becoming President.

... so I guess Trump takes the prize.

Yes likewise.. I think Washington wins for being as a-political as possible, refusing to join any party, willingly giving up power when he didn't have to.. he could have practically declared himself king if he wanted

Curious then... What's your opinion of a wall alone over thousands of miles because that's the only detail he's given?
Well look at it this way. The fencing in the Yuma AZ area cut down on border crossings in that area. It Works
You do not need a physical fence along the entire southern border. There are many places that have natural barriers, and one can monitor wide areas with electronic sensors, including drones. One time riding with a border agent he got a call to intercept a illegal. He said they had been monitoring him for a couple of days and had just crossed the border, subject was apprehended in a very short time. Wouldn't tell me how they were tracking him only that they were.
No a physical border is not always necessary to restrict movement. Don't know if they still do it, but I have been through many "check-points" 20 or more miles from the border. That works also. One place a physical wall can not be built is along the Rio Grande in Texas, it is private land and ranchers use the river for a source of water for their livestock. That area is going to be the toughest to interdict illegal border crossers.

Thanks Esmith.

This is the first data I've heard of a wall directly related to immigration. I do find it credible. There's just still some information missing like the overall cost of the Yuma wall. Keep in mind, it wasn't only a wall mentioned in the article. There was surveillance technology and they also tripled their man power which adds cost. I don't support illegal immigration either but it would help to know exactly what we are getting and for what cost. Like the ACA repeal, I just feel like there's really no planning involved in these policies. Personally, I like more details on any matters so I can come to my own conclusions.

Also the following should be noted.
"But the fence has also produced negative consequences. Smugglers have been forced to risk travel through the merciless Sonora desert, where only the fittest can survive the 80-mile hike from Mexico to a pick-up site. Some make it, but more than 2,000 did not in the last decade, dying from dehydration or heat stroke, according to immigrant advocate groups."

Refugees will do anything to survive. I'm not directly comparing all Mexican immigrants to refugees but there could be some exceptions. IMO, I do think we need to somehow address that.

He might have pulled some political strings to get some favourable business deals and also perhaps to get out of sex scandals brought about by his boorish attitude towards women. Maybe he thought that that is all the political experience he needed.
apparently it IS all the experience he needed....

Well, according to him, going to a private military academy and having zero military experience gives you more experience and better training for the military than being in the military.
