Donald Trump For Nobel Peace Prize 2018!

I think he has a long way to go to surpass Bush, freeing 10s of millions from dictatorship in Iraq & Afghanistan, but it's definitely an incredible start.

As for Nobel prize awards, I'd think they would both be far more satisfied with their actual accomplishments?

Sure, liberating people and disposing of despots is well and good, but is kind of moot when done under false pretext and in a bungling manner which caused a perpetual cycle of destabilization and bloodshed that continues to present day. There is a reason you don't hear the liberated singing his praises.
But he has surpassed Bush in spades when it comes to ineptitude. Bush actually looks like a moral upright character in comparison, which is quite a feat: George W. Bush: The media is 'indispensable to democracy'

After North Korea triumph Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, not Obama

FOXNEWS

At the conclusion of the day-long summit between North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in Friday, one thing was clear: the meeting would never have taken place if not for President Trump. And for this achievement, President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

It’s true that we won’t really know for weeks or months whether the North-South Korean summit will bring about better relations between the two Koreas and result in Kim getting rid of his small arsenal of nuclear weapons.

We shouldn’t naively believe any promises Kim makes without verifiable proof, because he has a history of lying. His promises may last as long as a snowman in August.

But President Trump’s tough stance against a nuclear North Korea and his success in winning approval of international economic sanctions against the North at the United Nations that have crippled the country’s economy clearly succeeded beyond expectations in pushing Kim to the negotiating table.

And President Trump’s willingness to hold an unprecedented summit with Kim in coming weeks gave the dictator the incentive to recently announce he was halting nuclear weapons testing, closing an underground test site, and ending tests of long-range missiles.

In 2009, President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize for… um … for ... well, for giving good speeches and having big plans for making the world a more peaceful place.

CNN

(CNN)Any way you cut it, President Donald Trump is entitled to significant credit for Friday's historic opening between the two Koreas.

Whether he deserves as much as he's claiming or whether he's wise to bullishly declare a new era of denuclearized peace on the peninsula seems much more doubtful.

Still, the summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in keeps alive the possibility of a legacy win for Trump that would rank as one of the top presidential achievements since World War II.
Trump had nothing to do with it. He's getting played by our enemies. That's how easily morons are manipulated. Our enemies think Trump is a moron. Even cabinet members call Trump a moron. I called Trump a moron a couple decades ago. Where were you?

Too much fake news 4u!

Looks like we got a fresh RW shill to spread disinformation. Thanks Obama!

Not really :D I can laugh at my mistakes.

smh... I'm looking at the article now, and I can't imagine how detached from reality one would have to be to actually think that it was real. There was nothing subtle about it and should've been apparent immediately.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
No, not really, but why would you think so?
It's predictable what the commentary would entail had it been the case.

Anyways if Yasser Arafat got the Nobel, why not Trump? It's for specific accomplishments that warrant the award, not the person him or herself.

It seems Trump played an instrumental role in bringing North Korea to the negotiation table since the cease fire took effect. It's something I don't think would have happened otherwise if Trump didn't push issues with Kimmy to stop or pay consequences.

All of it.
Just explain what action the President took to cause the statement from North Korea.
If you think he did or did not do something, do you blame Obama for the rise of ISIS?

I blame the rise of ISIS on the destabilization of the region that resulted from the Iraqi invasion, although the U.S. backing of Syrian rebels definitely didn't help.

ISIL's rise was before Obama. Even Bush had Baghdadi in custody and released him in Iraq. War with Iran coming soon, pushed by Israel. We warned you not to vote republican if you're not a hawk.

What's the definition of insanity again?

During the lead up to the Invasion of Iraq, I spent a good deal of time at the Islamic Center of Bloomington Indiana.
It's a diverse group, having little in common besides Islam and some connection to IU. Everything from Iranian and Iraqi expats to US converts to Saudi playboys minoring in beer and girls.
Taken as a group, they predicted some things and backed up the predictions.
No WMDs would be found, because if Hussein had them he would use them in the days before the invasion.

No western style democracy, there would instead be a bloody civil war.

The military of the Baathists would disappear and regroup, forming a violent militia opposing the USA and all things western. They would get a ton of support from the locals, because almost all Iraqis hate the USA, even the ones who hate Hussein.
They predicted ISIS, and didn't even have the CIA and spy satellites.

Trump's whole "peace" negotiation with NK is predicated upon the belief of military action if NK continue to develop nukes. Hardly prize worthy in my view. Extending the olive branch in one hand while holding a loaded gun in the other...
