I seriously predict (as a Canadian) that there will soon (months or a year or two) be major expressions of "buyer's remorse" throughout the US.

I tend to be left leaning.....and I do not believe in simple handouts either. I believe in helping someone, but there are strings. I will provide you with food and shelter, but you will go to trade school, or community college and get a skill and you will become a contributor to society...........there will be a point at which I will decide you are not interested in doing that and at that point, I will not support you.

Actually I have been paying attention rather closely, I just have not been paying attention with emotion or taking an adversarial approach. I don't like him, but I am not going to panic about it or give into propaganda, sensationalism, or name calling.

WW III I doubt and there has not been a candidate in the history of the office that has done all the things he said he would do and although some of Trumps statements are rather questionable, some of what people are panicking about is more like guilt by association, rumor and somewhat one sided sensationalism in the media.

I tend to look at things, use my own brain, not let others tell me what to think, and draw my own conclusions. Sorry, panic if you wish, but I will not and I am guessing in 4 to 8 years we will all be here complaining about the next person running for office

Back to the point, I have indeed been paying very careful attention to Trump. I agree on media bias, which is why I go straight to the source for my information. I have listened to the man himself concerning what he's been promising to do. Going to the source for my information, I am indeed bypassing the propaganda and sensationalism and getting my information direct.

So when he has stated that Iranian ships which make "gestures" at US ships will be "shot out of the water" (source), I take that and his array of other insane statements very seriously. He gave us insight into what he would do as president: he would spontaneously start a war with Iran for no other reason than his personal feelings of insult, the world and human lives be damned.

I am honestly at a loss to explain how anyone can honestly not be alarmed by this and his many other crazy statements.

Our only hope now is indeed the more sane efforts of others in power to stand in his way and block whatever they can of his madness.

My oldest, in college, was panicking too.....

Like I said, there has not been a candidate in the history of the office that has done all the things he said he would do...and I will add, for that matter, done even 50% of what they said they would do.

he found a niche, catered to it, and got the job... and so far his tone seems to have changed drastically....I am not a Trump supporter but I am not going to give into the current hysteria either.
