Double-blind Prayer Efficacy Test -- Really?

And accepting Biblical Christianity is arbitrary. Furthermore, what you call Biblical Christianity is an arbitrary designation.
Especially when the Bible clearly is not anti-abortion. The anti-choice crowd only ignore the verses that show them to be wrong, or even worse, they change the translation.

Answer this and is different but I see it along the same line of thinking, Have you stopped beating your wife yet ? Answer yes or no
You screwed up. The question that you used has an assumption built into it that you would need to prove first. Where is the unsupported assumption in @Sheldon 's question? To me it looks as if he avoids that improper tactic. You could learn something from that. And I see that he already pointed out your error to you.

Diametrically opposed POV's.
Yep. I am interested in reducing abortions. You are interested uninterrupted gestations.
I don't want to be involved in abortion issues - other than making it harder and harder for an abortion as the child comes to term. And it shouldn't be publicly funded because of how many people feel.
Every thing after the "other than" directly and explicitly contradicts your starting statement.
But there ARE 'truths' and there IS a 'Truth' that offends religous people in particular.
A subset of religious people. Don't get to big for your britches. Most of the people who support choice are religious. And they find your position to me both facile and immoral.

And when we don't respect that in religion our society doesn't respect it elsewhere either.
That sentence is full of dangling participles. It is unintelligible.
We are living with the smell of an empty vase as someone put it concerning Christianity.

They have no idea what their book says, or why they believe it. They just believe it really really hard for no good reason.

No doubt about that. But what you will find is that those that do not believe so hard do not tend to make nearly as many errors as those that do believe really hard. Early on in our discussions I constantly was showing @ElishaElijah that he was wrong about what the Bible said or did not say. He was rather unaware of the verses that he did not like.

No. I'm not interested in random babble. If you can't represent your own thoughts in a coherent and relevant manner then they aren't thoughts worth my while.

I mention how our society is 'living with the smell of an empty vase." as someone put it.
That means the things that created our Christian society are slowly ebbing away, and we are seeing things not even thought of to previous generations. The principles of 'Christian behavior' are evaporating - we still hold on to some of them, but they are seen as quaint and backward. Now millions die of drug abuse, hundreds of millions come from broken homes.

Again. No cogent through-line. You are simply declaring that drug abuse and "broken homes" are relevant. Your bald unthoughtful assumptions are rejected. Quit parroting. Come back when you have thought your claims through, and can express and defend those claims..

Drug abuse, broken homes, industrial scale gambling, a reliance on police, security personnel and cameras, proliferation of laws and lawyers, mass child pornography etc are symptoms of a post-religious society. These things were far less in our great grandparents day. Indeed, until the 1800's there were no police. And growing up there was a controversy over whether police should be armed - now they carry automatic weapons and body armor.
I wondered what a post-religious society would like like. I found my answer when the news spoke of 6 and 7 year old school boys doing remedial classes in how not to abuse girls.
I see secularization as a social failure.

Well there is one massive set of assumptions. Do you have any real evidence at all for any of this? And why the fixation on child porn? From my understanding it is a rather low percentage of the industry. Perhaps that is more than a bit of projection on your part.

There's about half a million reports per week on Internet porn according to one site which tracks this stuff. I posted links somewhere else on this subject.
I don't recall 'child porn' existing when I grew up. And porn itself was pretty tame - mostly nude women.
I make the assumption that industrial scale pornography exists for two reasons
1 - decline of religious values
2 - internet.

and I suspect child porn has grown in part because of the saturation of adult porn.

Child abuse always existed. And "reports of child porn" does not even mean that it exists. It only means that someone saw something that offended them. It appears that you are all excited about a lot of nothing.

Hysteria is not evidence. Projection is not evidence.

You have your view and my view is what the Bible says, that you say you know much better.

1 John 2:22 says who a liar is

Romans 1 says creation is evidence of God and clearly seen by everyone so all are without excuse

Ephesians 2 - people are dead in trespasses and sins, they are influenced by Satan.

So according to Scripture this is how I see Atheism.

Exactly right because sin is progressive, the flesh is never satisfied and continues towards more depravity. I found this to be true in my own life as well before I was born again, there wasn’t anything out there that could satisfy my lust anymore, even the most crude stuff.
After I was born again that all changed and Bambi was good and another thing that was great.

Be careful. All that you have done is to prove that the Bible itself is a lying source. Wouldn't that be blasphemy on your part? This is only example of you being able to find bogus verses. It does not support your beliefs about your personal understanding of your book of myths at all.

Not at all, I was trying to understand the question, it doesn’t make sense at all, I explained so many times and just chalk it up to we see and experience life on a different plane altogether.

No, that only says that you may have been on a downward spiral. It does not say that about society at all.

And one fact that @PruePhillip hates is that statistics disagree with him. Society, overall, is better than it has been in the past.

It supports my view as I said, you know the Bible so show me verses that contradict those and will look at them. Go for my student.
