End Times?

Do you think we are approaching End Times?

If so, what makes you think that we are?

And by that I mean the end of the world brought about by God as opposed to by human activity or some kind of natural cataclysm.
I believe that the End Times means the end of the Age of Prophecy. The Age of Prophecy 'ended' in the mid-19th century, which marked the beginning of a new age, the Age of Fulfillment of all the Bible prophecies.

I do not believe that there will be an end of the world brought about by God. The correct Bible translations say end of the age, not end of the world. Jesus was to be with us till the end of the Age of Prophecy, until the return of Christ with a new name.

Matthew 28:20
ESV
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
NIV
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The end of times was 1844 and we are now in Judgement day.

We are being judged on our ability to embrace our One God as a united humanity.

It is now 179 years into that judgement, it is now the 3rd of Masá’il (Questions) in the year 179 B.E. (14 December 2022 05:32)

Our rejection by humananity will indeed bring some kind of natural cataclysm, which will cause the limbs of mankind to quake.

IMHO

What if the world which God created features in-built obsolescence? And will automatically end once enough time has passed?
Very interesting question. If this happens, then it happens. That's it. No salvations, no anything. Finish.

Bridging the Gap Between Believers and Skeptics
We are closer to the beginning than we are to the end.

The Universe is composed of 68% dark energy and 27% dark matter. I have a feeling that the way the Universe expands is by degrading dark energy to dark matter. If that is correct, then the Universe is still more than likely going to continue to exist for the 5% of the positive energy in it for at least twice the length of the time that it exists now.

Plus, science, technology, engineering, math, and more could one day add additional dark energy to the Universe, somehow. We might even be able to convert negative to positive or positive to negative energy someday.

In a few billion years, the Sun will expand and overheat the world too. And there's always the possibility of another ice age, a super-virus that kills most people, asteroids wiping out most people or a super-volcano erupting and ending most life on Earth.

Odds are, though, we'll be fine for another night.

There is a passage in the Talmud (Sanhedrin 97a, I believe) that states "Six thousand years is the duration of world." If one interprets that literally, and counts the remaining years from the current Hebrew year for the world (5783), then that would mean that we have 217 years remaining before the "end times."

But I wouldn't apply a literal interpretation to a lot of things in sacred writings. There are rabbis and rabbinical students who spend years of study, poring over chapter and verse in an effort to understand what the sages were talking about. And, of course, they don't always agree with each other.

Additionally, in Judaism we are told that the Messianic Age will be a time when war will have been eliminated and poverty ended. Which is certainly something to look forward to, as well as for ALL of us to work very hard together in order to bring about that prophesied, shining time in human history.

We have already witnessed the end of the old ages and the birth of the modern era with knowledge having been increased substantially over the past 150 years.

Daniel 12:4

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

It is self evident with technological advances such as air travel, the internet, mobile telecommunications and space flight not to mention electricity and much more, that this constitutes the ‘new earth’ foretold in the Bible.

The old ways, traditions and beliefs are being questioned and if they are useful kept, if not being discarded. I do not believe God will do anything such as you have stated. If anything we will bring about our own demise. We have already had two world wars and God has left it up to us either to have another war or establish peace.

We all have freedom of choice and so God does not interfere. He only sends a Prophet about once every thousand years Who we usually persecute and crucify so apart from that God does not intervene in human affairs.

Our fate and destiny is in the palm of our own hands. There is not going to be any magical appearance of Christ waving a wand and causing dead bodies to rise out of graves. There is so much superstition around this that a hundred Christs will come and go and people will still wait for the superstitions their imaginations have conceived to be fulfilled!

I believe that we choose our own destiny and that God only ‘offers counsel’ but then our fate is up to us entirely.

It's possible that there will be a judgment of the living and the dead, but time isn't going to end. The Kingdom of Jesus is a spiritual fellowship which will eventually subdue the world. If the planet becomes irredeemable the salvageable will be taken to another planet to begin again. IMOP

Aren't we already very much in the End Times*, and that is why the advent of Second Coming* (1835-1908) - the End Times reformer of all revealed religions has taken place, one gets to know, please? Right?
It must ,however, be kept in mind that the End of Times is also the Beginning of Times when things take a new shape as if man has entered into New Earth and New Sky , evolved and or created for him, please, right?

N.B.
  1. *NT is a mix of falsehood of Hellenist-Paul's epistles etc. one gets to know, please
  2. with the *Gospels-
  3. anonymous third person narrative said to contain some events of (Jesus' life)/
  4. Yeshua- the Israelite Messiah, could be truthful if it is in the first person,
  5. doesn't it make, it transpires, an item of “handle with care”, meaning one has to thrash truth from falsehood from within the NT, if possible, please, right??!
Just to inform, my ^ post is revised, please, right?

No.

Been hearing that since 1966 and every time it's fake.

The end times were probably in Jesus' day.

No, Jesus was asked about that. He said people would see wars and earthquakes but the end is not yet. He spoke about the Jews going into exile until the "time of Gentiles is fulfilled." (And that was refered to the Jews taking back Jerusalem, which happened 1967 BTW) And there's a war coming which is the new Israel, where the Jews have returned 'a second time' to take back and restore their land. And the biblical 'end times' must come sometime after that.

I see no reason to think that we are in any end times.

Wars, earthquakes, tornados, etc., have ALWAYS happened. They are not indicative of the end days.

...

I think end times have already lasted about 2000 years. And obviously the end is closer now than then. But I think there are still things that must happen before the end (judgment day). Like for example this:

The gospel must first be preached to all the nations.
Mark. 13:10

Considering the capital letters, I don't believe such a thing to even be an actual thing... let alone that we are "approaching" it.

And by that I mean the end of the world brought about by God as opposed to by human activity or some kind of natural cataclysm.

As an atheist, that keeps me awake about as much as the thought of Santa not bringing me presents come christmass time.

Or as much as Ragnarok keeps you awake.

Although I would understand how they would feel like that to scientifically illiterate sheep herders who didn't even know the earth orbits the sun, living in a day where pretty much every natural phenomenon was somehow assumed to be ruled by god(s).

I thought 2001 would be it. The numbers seemed right but playing the numbers game is a crap shoot. Right now I am waiting on a sign to be fulfilled but signs can also be misleading.
