Entitled and owed

Did your parents work for what they had?
That is a rather strange question. Of course they did. You did not seem to get the point of the video. Today's workers are grossly underpaid. Meanwhile business profits and CEO pay are at record levels. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Of course many people make the error of thinking of money as a constant when it is a variable.

I think I have a coupon from Whataburger around here. If I get a Whataburger medium combo, I can get an extra small order of fries for 50¢ off. As long as the coupon is not expired and it's one of the participating locations, I feel I'm entitled to that.
Just as it was described, Whataburger reminded me of Carl's Jr. as far as the menu goes.

Wow! Even you admitted that job pay has stagnated. And since inflation has always existed that means they in reality they have declined. Those jobs are not out there. Let me clarify that. The jobs are out there, but t he pay is not.
For me, starting wages are about $20/hour. It's all in the field.
But it's also all in having better social skills than other candidates, which I do not.

Aret seems many think they are entitled and owed several things.

If you are one of the many, what do you think you are entitled to and/or are owed?

Why?
I think people are entitled to personal space. People by default have a right not be hugged, touched, punched, kicked, breathed on, spit on, etc. Why? Punching, kicking, and spit on, seems obvious. People are entitled to not be harassed and injured for no reason. The rest just seems like common sense.

It would be interesting to compare your starting wages to starting wages at the same sort of job in the '70's and then adjust for inflation. You might be in for a surprise. My first job in about 72 was at $1,74 or maybe $1.68 an hour. Minimum wage at the time.

Hmm, maybe it was even $1.60. That would be $11.55 today.

"Reliable water and electricity supply. Availability of food"

You pay for it.

"My pension"

You worked for it. You earned it

"Laws that protect me"

Your tax dollars paid for that. You earned it

Your definition of entitled is obviously different to mine. Maybe you should clarify the question.
