Entitled and owed

It Aint Necessarily So

seems many think they are entitled and owed several things.

The word has a neutral meaning - things we've earned or which have been set aside for us - but today, is often used in a deprecatory sense in reference to people who believe that others owe them just because they want something and somebody else can afford or provide it, or expect others to pick up after them. I'm talking about people that cut in lines, yell at employees, steal food at work, don't return shopping carts, and the like. I doubt that too many such people would describe themselves as entitled.

Respect like many things is earned

The word is also used in at least two different ways. Only one is earned respect, generally earned by what a person does or has done that others admire. But there's also what can be called forbearance, or respecting another person's right to being tolerated and treated kindly - essentially the right to exist. That's something we start out with, but can forfeit following bad behavior.

We Never Know

Actually getting hired at such a place.
What makes it worse, I struggle to get employed even in high turnover rate, high burnout, and high demand fields.

Yeah it can be tough with many more getting degrees now days and job burnout.
Hang in there and best of luck to you.

This has always been a problem for me, even when I was still a kid going for very entry level. I struggle so much I even get turned down for fast food.

We all have our niche to fill, you just have to find yours.
Actually, for those with autism this is pretty normal, with only about 30% who are gainfully employed. Never mind we're often very good at what we do (like Dan Aykroyd and Eminem and Gary Numan), but I've also read research that indicates were better off with friends who themselves are autistics just because we see and think about the world and, especially, communicate differently. And for these reasons social things tend to be difficult with neurotypicals, and that includes employment.

God invented engineering for autistics.

I didn't realize I'm actually smart enough for something like that until after I graduated.
And even then I'm better with other autistic things, like words. And I very strongly suspect that's how a white man (Marshal Mathers/Eminem) is able to dominate rap and perform at the Super Bowl with Dr. Dre, a black man amd legend and godfather of rap.
Dan Aykroyd and Gary Numan are also autistic.

Is white a handicap for rap?

When I get internet back, I have a great crooked cop news item….about one who once worked for me.
