Unfortunately a no-deal Brexit is the default position if there is no deal agreed by both sides and ratified by Parliament. The EU have already said this is the last extension and to not waste it. I doubt they'd give us any more time - the sensible thing would be to just let Brexit finally kick in. The continent will be able to endure & heal from any economic harm much more quickly than us, unfortunately.
With all due respect...when you talk about Europe, you always say : " The EU is useful to us economically".
You never say " I like the EU because I feel a spiritual connection towards European Nations, other than Britain".
This is sad imo because I believe in Europe as spiritual entity. A world where only money matters is nightmarish.

I define myself as a Mancunian, then British and European. I am very at home in European mainland, been to most of the countries and loved most.
Von der Leyen was elected thanks to Hungarians, many Slavic countries and the Prime Minister Conte.

I assume Boris will be the new PM. It will be interesting to see if he actually does any better than May at sorting out the Brexit mess. As they say, the devil is in the detail, and Boris doesn't seem to be very good at that.
