What are talking about? Russia is bombing Ukraine every day particularly the power plants so Ukrainians freeze this winter. Recently they even bombed a shopping mall. Also they recently started a campaign to take the major city Kharkiv by sending waves of troops across the border. For Russia the war is definitely not over. In fact, it is getting more vicious. It looks like you like watching this slaughter and the only thing you want is to prevent Ukraine from defending itself.

If your neighbors get invaded by heavily armed robbers, you would not help them, because you 'want peace'? You would silently watch them being beaten and raped? Not only that, you would prevent other people from helping your neighbor? I am glad you are not my neighbor

The odd thing is that it is the group that was most gung ho about American exceptionalism that has changed as the US becomes more like Europe in social policies. These changes in acceptance have cause them to disavow cooperation and become obstructionist and isolationist because they are no longer completely in control. The same thing appears to be happening in much of Europe with the rise of the right wing parties that not conservative any more but anti-democratic.

I'm not sure how more we're like Europe in terms of social policies, since there are some noticeable differences, such as in healthcare and social welfare. America's mentality is more of a dog-eat-dog, screw-the-poor kind of thing.

You can make any thread you want, but you won't have any evidence that Russia's invasion is anything other than them trying to take over Ukraine just because they want it.

You live in a bubble. The world is not just Europe and US.

Putin has been chasing them...that is why he is considered wicked by the West.

Whether or not anyone trusts me is irrelevant. Russia invaded a sovereign country simply to take it over and make it part of Russia. They weren't forced into it. They actively chose to do it, most likely for Putin to increase his support that seemed to be flagging.
