Evolution a religion

I believe that Evolution is a religion, the believe that something happened, but that can not for sure. So fare now one could prove that evolution is real.

Trying to bring evolution down to the same level as religion is a really cheap tactic.

Evolution is not a religion:

It has no dogma
It has no rules with which to live by
It has no socially binding practises
It has no necessity for faith (except in the scientists doing the research)

It does however have plenty of scientific, reproducible evidence from multiple scientific fields that support evolution and christianity has a book riddled with errors and inconsistencies.

so here is the question does scientists know for a fact that for one animal (example from fish it became a dog) or they just speculate since there similarities this could happened. See faith is needed when you did not see, and you have some facts but there are a lot of missing chains. Evolution, has a lot of missing chains, and until it is not possible to prove it it is a religion. Lets call it a religion with out written rules.

Let me ask you a couple of questions: What do you think "evolution" actually means? What does it mean for something to "evolve"?

Once again you are using a bad argument.

You are the one making the claim. It isn't true until proven otherwise. It doesn't work that way.

It's called "shifting the burden of proof"

Not from fish to dog, but from fish to lizards and amphibians and then from lizards to snakes. It's quite well-recorded when it comes to water-living animals. If you want the more crocoduck-ish animals, we have the platypus. I don't think it's very closely related to either ducks or beavers, though.

We have missing chains in the fossil record because fossils are very very rare. The fact that we have fossils that show one species gradually becoming another is amazing in itself. The fossil record is far from the only proof of evolution, as we see lots of proof in genetics .

That evolution happens is a fact.

Should gravity be a religion? Can you be both a Christian and a Gravityist?

Gravity is a Law of Physic, evolution in not a law of any kind. Just tell what it is easy to believe "a frog became a prince in a second after a princes kissed it" , or "a frog became a prince after million of years" ? The only evolution exists is micro evolution it can be proven. The macro evolution can not be proven. And why you guys are likely to believe that some animals are the same because of evolution but not because have the same creator. For example: let look at one of car brands, lets pick Ford. If you look in interior you can see there are thing that look the similar to all of the ford brand, so similarity does not prove any thing.

fords do not self replicate...also macro is micro micro is macro their is no macro micro only evolution and its not a fish into a dog and a fish into humans its a fish into amphibians into reptiles into mammals.

Let's first see if you know anything at all about the Theory of Evolution, you know, just so that we can be sure not to waste our time on another indoctrinated ignorant nay-sayer.

Please answer the following question in evolutionary terms:

Why do flowers smell nice?

This is a question I routinely ask my fifth grade pupils, so if you have any understanding of the Theory of Evolution at all, this shouldn't be too hard.

Since many people here use different definitions of "religion", please start by giving us the one you're using.

Gravity's still just a theory...
