EVOLUTION, what a lie.

What I ask is for people to stop caring about evolution and try to start to figure out ways to deal with the ozone, overpopulation, and other issues that need pretty much immediate fixing.

Often the study of evolution can help us understand how to deal with these problems by seeing how they were dealt with in the past (only talking about overpopulation and things that deal with potential biologically originated disasters, like diseases).

Holy crap... this thread is still going on?! Well then...

Case in point:

Evolutionary algorithm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can apply the theory of evolution to a lot of other fields. It's not limited to biology.

Science doesn't address God. At all. So belief in God does not inhibit you in any way.
Agreed. However, the poster has (had) "Christianity" as his designated religion.
While Theism has no bearing on science (apart from the fact that Theists believe in something that has no proof), Christianity, as a founded and regulated religion has a plethora of teachings that oppose science, and sway their followers away from the basic scientific process of thought. :(

Have you ever stared at the person in a mirror and wondered if you were a reflection of it?
Yes. However, I continue to exist after he walks away.
Now then, that brings us to a real brain tweaker..... have you considered the possibility that mirrors are windows to parallel universes with almost exactly the same set of occurrences within them; and wherein your alternate persona is always approaching a mirror at the same time, in the same lighting, and wearing the same clothing as you.....at which point he carries out exactly the same actions as you (but on the opposite side of his body). ?
Think about it.
If the multiverse is truly infinite, then it HAS TO be happening somewhere.......in fact, it HAS TO be happening in multiple somewheres. ;)

I have the solution for the ozone. Ozone In A Can. For $10.99 I will sell you a can of ozone and you can replenish the ozone layer yourself.

I bet that there is a place for people in this world who have had their life taken unfairly away from them before they had a chance to find out about jesus

I beg to differ. My grade 11 science teacher was a nun.

Evolution is nothing more than mutation that occasionally strengthens a species. It takes generations for even small changes to occur. Evolution does not disprove the existence of a god nor does it disprove creationism. it just means that when the aforementioned god created the universe we didn't look the way we do now. If your hung up on the "in his own image thing " then god is a giant amoeba.

Ozone: America needs to change, you guys are your huge cars are raping the atmosphere. Australia isn't far behind, but our economy is too tied up in fossil fuels for us to change, our leaders are too weak. Also CFC's, why must we use spray cans when we don't need them? Its beyond me. To fix the ozone situation, we need to change. But the human race is disgracefully pathetic and never will.

Overpopulation: If i remember correctly, it is your good book that suggests us to go forth and multiply. I also recall your religion being a huge player in Abstinence only sex education which is as efficient as using a sock for protection. We need a world war, as sick as it sounds, theres no way to kull our population which already exceeds the earth's limit by 1.5 billion.

We can change but we won't. Everyone wants to but we're lazy, and cheap. We won't pay now to save later. We're absolutely ****** and no one has the balls to stand up to governments and shame them for their lack of action.

The population in my country is becomming older as well. We need more children, but China and India need to stop before they take us all down with them.

Oh. ok. I was saying that if you want to end up dead and nonexistent thats ur perrogative. Not my business. Personally, i think that if you reject God and say that then thats probably whats going to end up happening to you.

So basically you create reality by believing it? Like if you think you're going to win the lottery, you will? Do you know what "magical thinking" means?
