I may be assuming that you want to believe China has that many personnel, but that is the only assumption and I rather think it is correct.

That gives a lot of stats and you can compare with other top ranked countries as well. Keep in mind, obviously, that sheer numbers of troops does not indicate the strength of said military, which is why it is possible to have less troops yet a stronger military force.

This chart gives China's numbers actually lower as it doesn't have as many for reserves upon it.

This article gives the current number as 2.3 million for the military AND is announcing a cut of 300,000. That's right, China keeps downsizing their military, not increasing it. You simply aren't going to get 200 million from them no matter how you slice it.
