How so? Original question emboldened in red for clarification. For clarification and context, you said all claims are subjective, so unless you were making a statement that is so trivially true as to be meaningless, then the question seems apropos.

For example the claim that the world is not flat, could be claimed to be subjective, but it could also be asserted to be an objective fact, since there is an overwhelming weight of objective evidence that supports it. Whereas my hypothetical was entirely subjective, obviously.

I think you're taking this more seriously than I.

I'm just here to have fun.

I could care less about winning debates with folks I don't really know on topics that don't particularly matter.

Saturday afternoons get dull around here. ;)
Why would you remove all context and pretend this is a cogent response?

Not just yours.

An attempt at levity? Was the original claim in earnest, or have I arrived late, and thus missed the joke?

I am probably wasting your time, yes. Not intentionally, but I suspect we're here(on the forums) for different reasons.

I don't take this stuff seriously. I'm just here to enjoy the ride. We may prefer different scenery.

Not to worry, taking a topic seriously, and having fun are not mutually exclusive. I have a wicked sense of humour as it happens. Though of course that's just my subjective opinion, and yet not entirely so. ;)

I know I know: lets not let reality get in the way of our opinions.

Well, isn't that a false dichotomy? One's opinions can also match reality surely?

Edit: Was I taking it too seriously again? It occurred to me I might have missed the levity in that post. Anyway, in vino veritas now, been a long pleasurable evening, with Wales narrowly losing to South Africa in the rugby. Best (we) Wales have played for a while.

@Sheldon listen, when I logged back in I had 6 alerts from you micro-quoting my posts.

I'm not going to keep engaging with someone who has to stoop to this kind of passive-aggressive nonsense. :)
Let me know of you ever want to have real-live, grown-up conversation.

Stoop, passive aggressive, this is a bit churlish don't you think? Not to worry, if you don't wish to engage then that's not a problem.

You think the shape of the earth is influenced by opinion? Seriously?

Actually no. Opinion and perception aren't the same thing. Opinion is much more a matter of choice than perception is, although there's some element of choice in perception too. It varies from person to person and situation to situation.

Would application of the Law of noncontradiction - Wikipedia
cause the gods battle with each other?
It is the great weapon of Man: logic.
One equipped with logic is safe in religious realm.

My theologians say: if two gods are in perfect love to each other, it is one God. Love unites. Because god is spirit, notion of things.
How can you be Orthodox Christian and at the same time admit that there are "gods" (meaning more than just the one)?

Aupmanyav

Be your own guru
according to your story, if gods can be defeated by virtue, doesn't his mean such gods are not perfect?
Gods are perfect but they know the value of virtues. Gods bow to virtues. When sages come, Gods welcome them with folded hands.
Hindu deities do not have only the master-slave relationship with their devotees unless the devotee him/herself so desires.

The Sanskrit word bhāva means habitual or emotional tendencies.

"śānta-bhāva, the calm, peaceful, gentle or saintly attitude
dāsya-bhāva, the attitude of devotion
sakhya-bhāva, the attitude of a friend
vātsalya-bhāva, the attitude of a mother towards her child
madhura-bhāva (or kanta-bhava), the attitude of a woman in love
tanmaya-bhava, the attitude that the Lord is present everywhere"
Bhava - Wikipedia

My attitude towards Hindu deities was 'sakhya-bhava' (attitude of a friend). I still have that. "Hey Krishna, howdy!"

and now he's talking two Gods.
A false god is idol. There are two gods: Good and Evil. That is why there is war in Ukraine and COVID 19. If there were only one god, then there were no Evil.
Two gods, but I am mono theist, because I serve only one of them.
