Churros,a Spanish type doughnut with a cup of chocolate sauce,i had them in Spain last year and they are delicious and easy to make, they are Torpedo shaped so they are easy to dip in the sauce
No,what are they
They are the almost the same batter as churros but thinner and made into a crisp pancake (cooked in butter naturally )then served with cinnamon and orange sauce and ice-cream and more cinnamon. You can only eat them once every 10 years without having a cardiac episode but they are worth the wait .
If you ever make it to Los Angeles I'll take you to Olvera Street where we can get some freshly made churros, maybe some polvorones de canele cookies and Mexican coffee. Not to mention flan, orchata, and tres leches cakes.:drool::drool::drool::drool: sounds good, shame i had'nt heard about them before i went to Teneriffe,i'm off to Switzerland next but i doubt they have those there

<insert "sugar my own churro" joke here>
Not a big fan of Sangria myself. If you ever make it to Cork I will give you the number of a nice Mexican restaurant, and when I say nice I mean only, something about watching people drink pitchers of sangria outside in the rain makes my heart swell with pride, and my eyebrow raise with derision. Stupid nicotine junkies.

We did make it to Cork on my b-day last year (we avoided Dublin 'cause it was St. Patrick's Day)... And, oddly enough, we actually went to a Mexican restaurant.
It had these borderline offensive Mexican charicatures on the walls and watery salsa (well, not on the walls). The margaritas were nothing special but it was alcohol so it all worked out. I will say the food was better than the one Mexican place we hesitantly tried in London. Ay dios mio!
I had a job offer in Cork and we actually talked about moving there...
Wait... banana???? I love avocados, but bananas shouldn't be anywhere near them. That's the one, it used to be nicer when the chef was Catalan, now the chef is Polish the food is less spanishy, (they stopped serving sour cream and now serve creme fraiche instead and the salsa is tomato puree and I don't eat guacamole but they bulk it up with banana and even I know that ain't right, the salsa verde is still nice. I don't drink alcohol so can't comment on the drinks other than to say the pitchers look greasy.
You did the right thing avoiding Dublin whatever the day, my wee brother is up there now for a Mettalica concert,no doubt being force fed heroin.
Obligatory "and you're Irish!?!?" joke.I don't drink alcohol...
