Free Speech in the U.S. and Gaza/Israel

Palestinians voted in Hamas, support them. Its a real mess, mass brainwashing.

I wonder why?

Seriously, think about it:

Israelis will hate Palestinians forever because of Oct 7th and previous attacks.

Palestinians will hate Israelis forever because of the current, ongoing slaughter and previous oppression.

Does that sound like a recipe for peace to you?

Also, I looked at that poll, and the total number of people surveyed was 668, with 277 of those in Gaza. It's a garbage poll in terms of accuracy.

I just got a tip from a good friend of mine that a landing force of marines are going to land on the shore near Gaza and they will bring tanks.

Their aim is to protect American citizen caught up in this tragic event. Personally, my advice to the IDF is to stand down and stay out of sight until the marines get these Americans out of harm’s way.

Just a suggestion

Only my other side wants the IDF to try and stop them.

At my school, the holocaust class was canceled, the majority favors hamas. Jews are minority in most cities.

Hamas aside, treatment of women - shrouded in black, disrespect for any female in leadership positions is quite sad to me.

Jews and Muslims both seemed trapped in groupthink mindsets, trauma response, cognitive dissonance - it takes two to tango. The Muslims scare me more when I see the facial expressions, attitudes, violent mibdsets... at least in my location. As a female, I feel threat from Muslims more.
What in the world are you talking about? Women in black, disrespect for women in leadership? That has nothing to do with Palestinians. You sound like you're mixing it up with Iran or something.

In my area I see more support for Muslims.
It's looking that way here too.
This is unprecedented.

I also notice that once the many Muslims &
Palestinians here in SE MI started attacking
Biden, he sensed losing the entire state's
Electoral College in 2024.
Now instead of regurgitating the standard
pro Israel mantra, he's actually addressing
a solution that would benefit Palestinians.
And of course, would also benefit Israel,
whether they know it or not

If this wasn't pure fantasy you'd have put many lives at risk by telling us this

You should be ashamed of yourself

And if it were true telling us would also be totally illegal and make you a traitor (assuming you're American)

Also, rumours such as that help no one, it is irresponsible to spread such rumours

Why do you think those who plan military operations keep them secret?

A quick Google - pick your source:
Percentage of women in Palestine who work compared to men.
Percentage Palestinian women compared to men who - hold advanced degrees, are able to drive cars, win domestic dispute cases, etc.

Who does Iran support again?

Women rights across muslim world are horrible.

What are you talking about? Are you asking me what the percentage is?

Palestinians are living under a brutal occupation and aren't allowed to govern their own affairs thanks to Israel. So life is hard for almost all of them. I've never heard of Palestinian women not being allowed to drive, work or go to school. Many of them seem highly educated.

Honestly, it sounds like you have some prejudices against Muslims and are a bit ignorant about their cultures. You seem to think Iran and Saudi Arabia represent the entire Muslim world and they certainly don't.

This is the kind of anti-free speech issue on campus that bothers me. Hunter College canceled a film screening about Israel made by American Jewish people, as far as I can tell, because it gives viewpoints that are critical of Israel. It also includes pro-Israel perspectives. Was that really necessary?

Your selectivity has been noted.
How is that "selective"?
You know, what is your freaking problem, anyway? You post these insulting one-liners, what for? Do you have a different viewpoint about the film? What might that be? I guess we'll never know, because you prefer snark over communication.

This seems to be getting quite common:

And I've been thinking about this quite a bit:

I'm glad you think that it doesn't justify abandoning free speech.

My "persistent focus"? Where have I posted about free speech in relation to this before?

The free speech issue is important to me in particular because I work in a university.
careful. That last line could put a roundel on your ip address.

This thread is about free speech on campus.
You mean like tearing down pictures of hostages at NYU or assaulting a Jewish student carrying an Israeli flag at the University of Massachusetts or ...

Your antisemitic selectivity should disgust anyone serious about free speech on campus.
