Fuhrer Trump: No muslim welcome for 4 months

BSM1

What? Me worry?
That you would characterize those Muslims now being turned back as "radical Muslim scum" says everything one needs to know about you as far as this topic is concerned.

When you can't tell which snake in venomous you simply stop accepting snake shipments until you can devise a foolproof way of telling which snake means you harm. Wouldn't you agree that common sense should top misguided altruism?

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
Not quite freebies... The Evangelical leaders supported him by their public and collective laying on of hands for a spiritual blessing for Gods support.
He won ... they get their reward...

Yeah, I guess. He's just so clearly a secular guy. In mid November, this lack of accountability to the Christian Right was my most optimistic selling point for the hope for putting a nail in the coffin for evangelical' supporters influence in politics.

Now, inexplicably. . . Their agendas seem to be at the top of his list.

Some simply don't seem to have a clue why such actions are likely to backfire back on us. Think.

Trump is turning the U.S. from a beacon of immigration into a xenophobic, isolated sanctuary of bigoted laws.

I think that at this point, genuine support for Trump in enacting laws based on his views on issues like immigration and civil rights is more often than not a symptom of moral bankruptcy.

If you owned a chicken coop, don't you think it would be a good idea to keep wolves out until you make sure they are not going to eat the chickens.

We're talking about humans here. Not snakes. Not dogs. Not scum. Please stop trying to justify your bigotry. You might as well don a white robe and hood. These comments are simply disgusting.

Fuhrer Trump
Let's wait until he starts talking about Muslimerein, rounds up Muslim nationals into camps, opens buildings for gassing and burning their bodies, and has his doctors conduct experiments on live Muslims - before we start drawing parallels to Hitler.

We don't need to make false equivalencies to increase shock impact in order to express the wrongness of Trump's decisions.

So just throw open the gates and let everyone who wants in come in and do whatever they want. When someone tries to break into your house, I hope you say they are human beings and should not be stopped or punished.

. The order is nothing short of a Muslim ban by another name. It is cruel and callous, espouses positions contrary to the professed values of the United States...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

I'm with you servant. Purposefully favoring other religions and targeting Muslims is not in line with American principles.

NO! The time is now to prevent him from doing this. That's what they said when Hitler first came to power. Read this and shudder: Early Warnings: How American Journalists Reported the Rise of Hitler It's deja vu all over again.
I didn't say anything about whether he should or should not be prevented from doing what he is doing. I'm only pointing out that until he goes to the extreme that Hitler did, any equivalency is going to be no more truthful than comparing him to Gandi.

Maybe they're trying to compare to Hitler just after he'd risen to power, before he got too into that stuff.

Or maybe it's hyperbole.

It is not a ban on Muslims, it is a ban on people from countries where terrorist are more likely to come from. What is wrong with taking time to be sure those who are allowed in are not terrorists.

Trump's words have taken away the ability for anyone to claim incidental unfair treatment of religion. His intent has clearly been expressed. The executive order is aimed at Muslims to keep out Islamic terrorists. That this is narrowed to focus on countries doesn't change the intent clearly expressed and promised by Trump.

If you owned a chicken coop, don't you think it would be a good idea to keep wolves out until you make sure they are not going to eat the chickens.

Problem is he has no idea what a wolf looks like. So he is chucking out the chickens that lay golden eggs.
He has no concept of the harm he is doing.
