Glad we got that straightened out, now back to those annoying atheists that just wont' shut up.

Oh I have nothing against an atheist who defends her faith. It's when they resort to inane meaningless little quips or snide obnoxious petty remarks in lieu of actually engage in intelligent discussion that is problematic.

Changing your mind about what?
anything really...
to clarify I responded to what you pointed out regarding fideism..that is a good point you made...rational thinking and statements of faith are mutually exclusive...to the fundamentalist...NOT that THAT was what you intended to say...sorry for the misunderstanding...i was preoccupied at the time...
I thought you were saying you were open to theism in some way, which is why I said "None of my business".

sure if the evidence would present it self in a manner that is consistent with how i determine any claim is true...

Yeah. If I had my way we'd have at least a few debate forums exclusively for the grownups.

And, of course, you have never done that yourself.

You know, you might as well add the sauce as a freebie along with that bait.

Outspoken atheists are the problem, if only they would shut up and take it.

Yep. How dare we speak our mind like we were people or something.

Won't we ever listen to be good citizens and be forever scared of having original ideas or asking for demands to make actual sense?

Of course I have. I am willing to admit it and I am trying to correct it. I know I have a tendency towards bigotry and presumption and I have notice I tend to dismiss people out of hand. But I am aware of it and know it is something I need to work on.

Fair enough. It certainly beats attempting to claim the opposite out of a desire to protect your reputation in spite of the facts.

Have you become acquaintanced with the concept of Dharma Combat?

I don't know. Is it something like Crowley teaches? We debate and argue others not to convert or win them over, but to strengthen our true self and become more aware of self and other?

FUNDAMENTALIST ATHEIST

A nonsense term. Based on two simple intellectual failures;

1. Not knowing what the word 'fundamentalist' actually means.
2. Not knowing what the word 'atheist' means.

There is no such thing as a 'fundamentalist atheist', nor for that matter a 'overweight, skinny person' a 'living, dead person' or a 'non-religious religious zealot'.

It is a contradiction in terms, intended to demonise a group by association - but having no real meaning.

So you don't think that here are atheist that believe that the tenet "there is no god" is the absolute truth and therefore they must evangelize others to accept that absolute truth?

Let me introduce you to reality. Those type of people exist.

Let me introduce you to reality. That group are ANTI-theist. Anti-theism is different to atheism.

Atheism does not infer any knowledge claim regarding the non-existence of gods. I would also point out that anti-theists who evangelise are outnumbered by Evangelical Christians who evangelise by many thousands of times over.

That is irrelevant. For every single Christian who wishes evangelize an atheist there are thousands who do not want to.

I happen to think throwing pearls before swine is immoral.
