Girls and boys and what are we doing wrong?

No, you understood me. Male and female brains are different and we learned this in my Teaching Assistant training. Boys develop slower than girls and need more help. I don't see an issue here, it's just the way we grow.
So you're saying that a child's upbringing, what they're taught, what they observe and experience, etc. has zero impact on their behavior? That impressions, discipline, etc. are inconsequential? Nothing has influence?

No, I'm saying that nature plays a part and to ignore that is to ignore the reason why boys fall behind in the school systems. Male brains do no function as well at language as female brains do, for example, so they struggle with written and spoken communication. Girls, on the other hand, struggle with spatial awareness and thus hand-eye co-ordination doesn't come as easily to them. Boys focus more on objects whereas girls focus on people, which has been observed pretty much from birth, so boys tend to lack the networks that girls create. The school environment does very well for girls but not for boys, and this has been extensively discussed by those in this field.

I was reading about some scientific research. They took 10 girls and ten boys and put each group in a separate house without supervision for 5 days. Adults filmed the whole thing, and were there in case an emergency happened, but did not interfere with anything the kids did.

How the girls acted was enormously different from how the boys acted.

The first thing the boys did was trash the house and write all over the walls. Although they had taken a cooking course they did not cook or have meals together. They simply scrounged for easy snacks in the cupboards. They divided themselves into two antagonistic gangs. One boy was singled out for bullying.

The girls cooked, cleaned, and organized a fashion show for entertainment purposes. They did not divide into cliques. When a cat was found, they all wanted to take care of the cat.

So, folks... What the HECK are we doing wrong?

That’s the reason God designed male and female and for children to be raised in families- balance. My thoughts anyway.

I wonder when they'll start taking into account the non-binary nature of human identity and brain function. The alleged "male" brain and "female" brain narrative just always rubs me the wrong way. Probably because it in no way reflects my own experiences and these kinds of sexist stereotypes kind of effed up aspects of my childhood.

As they're scientifically and psychologically backed I can't see them as stereotypes. It seems plain to me that men and women have evolved different functions for good reasons and I don't believe there's any sexism in that. I have a low-dopamine problem and don't really experience pleasure but the majority do, so I defer to the majority dopamine experience when it comes to dealing with people. There wouldn't be transgender people without a distinction in male and female brains, either.

You aren't trying to give the impression that this is typical behavior for boys; are you? Because it is not. This is extremely bad behavior for boys.

It's called "cherry picking"; it's when you take very bad boys, and compare them to very good girls, and act as if this is typical behavior for both groups in order to make a point. This stuff happens all the time!

Sorry, I misunderstood your post, which I suppose serves as an example of your point. ;)

"Little girls are made of sugar and spice and all things nice, whilst little boys are made of slime and snails and puppy dog tails..."

Maybe there is some truth to the above old nursery rhyme.

What the heck does that mean? How does having half this kids in your family be kind and responsible, and the other half stay infantile, how exactly is that "balance?"
