Two questions for those of a religious nature:

One - why should God have a personal interest in your welfare?
Two - why would God have a personal interest in your welfare?

Thanks in advance.

Because God is the ONE consciousness
and I am an intrinsic part of that consciousness?

I don't know really.
God is everything.
Do you suppose everything is interested in it's own welfare?

Perhaps God is only interested in that which is interesting?

And surely I am soooo interesting!:flirt:

Heightened awareness and broadened perspective is interesting.
I think this is our primary welfare
and it is there for all those who seek it.

Not sure this ACTUALLY makes God "interested in my welfare" however.

Thanks for the question.
It was an interesting think.

This is essentially what I said in response to another to the so-called problem of evil.

I do not think that GOD has any personal safety, beneficial, good, well-being concerns for me but if I need any personal understanding about myself, there is no other entity that knows me better than GOD.

To some it would seem that GOD is a BEing without care but I have never understood GOD to be careless.

For the same reason a queen of ants has a personal interest in the welfare of one of her worker ants.

A couple of questions for your post. Firstly, how do you consider yourself to be part of God's consciousness? Secondly, what concepts do you present to God that he cannot receive elsewhere?

Interesting analogy.

How much of a personal interest does a queen ant actually have in an individual worker?

Otherwise, such a statement answers the second question - why would God care (the queen's reason for having a personal interest), but it does not answer why God should care (the worker's reasons for the queen ant having a personal interest.)

Some people attribute to God feelings that they cannot possibly know that he possesses! It has to be wishful thinking on their part!

Let me start with the second question
(and slide into the first from there)

I bring my own unique perspective and meaning to the UNIverse
..................................................................(ONEstory = Story of Oneness)

I look and move WITHin God as no one else,
and I reflect that vision back to him.
I REALize myself IN God.
God Realizes "himself" through me.

My surrounding Reality and I consciously interact in this personal "meaning"
as.......
-- "best friends" with "inside secrets" who understand one another like no one else.
or
--like co-authors of a wonderfilled whimsical story,
where each chapter is written as an interaction of spontanious give and take
(in REAL time)

God and I just like to have fun together really.
God could not have/share this Wholly Unique wonder-filled experience with me,
unless I existed.
The experience of God in relation to my perspective WITH/IN "him" ,
exists ONLY as he experiences Life (Himself) through me,
and I experience Life (My-self) in him.

One without the other "creates" a non-existance.
A void of possibility
that can not realize itself, without the OTHER.

Do you have kids? Do you have a personal interest in their welfare?
