To have the best relationship with God you have to realize he is a personality and watching/creating you right now.

Is this personality something we should strive for? Or is it just how one's personality unravels? To have the best relationship with God you have to realize he is a personality and watching/creating you right now.

God can not be a She in the Christian religion. You have to go to a different religion for God to be a She.What if He is a She?
You can be like the Most High in like a son is like a father. It should come naturally, but why not strive to be more like Him.
As a Christian I agree with you. So Nathan what is God's personality? And I look forward to seeing how you respond to Sum of Awe's two questions . I like those questions!
This 'Have to realize' part misses out I think on our inability to comprehend anything at all including God. What I am telling you is genuine, quite old, ancient, very Christian and very unifying. There's no realizing that can happen but only a sort of emulation of it. We think we know things but not really. We only think that we know things, and anything beyond that is just a failure to accept our situation which is that we are pretty ephemeral creatures, like shadows that change when the light moves. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom," etc. If I say to you 'We must realize that God is a personality' then that is like boasting, because I can't really tell you about God directly. God has to be revealed directly to you, not by me. In fact when it comes to God our very language is confused, and have you read the story of Babel? There is no tower we can build that will bring us all closer to God.you have to realize he is a personality
A son innately tends to reflect his father. Is this personality something we should strive for? Or is it just how one's personality unravels?

Isn't the "best" relationship the one that meets where you are at in your particular stage of development at that time, and that at another point what was 'best' before is not what is 'best' now? Are you saying this is the 'ultimate' point of view to hold? The highest way to relate to God? If so, why?To have the best relationship with God you have to realize he is a personality and watching/creating you right now.
To realize God has a person-ality is to delude oneself. To have the best relationship with God you have to realize he is a personality and watching/creating you right now.

I hate being parenthetical. Not everybody needs a God (or Goddess).
