God as a personality

Not in Hinduism who worship Adi Shakti (The oldest power). Why in parentheses, because the concept is not there in Abrahmic religions. That was to emphasize Goddesses. Hindus worship nine forms of Durga for nine days twice in a year - Navaratra. That is when Bengalis and Gujaratis have huge idols of Durga. That is their biggest holiday. Elsewhere Hindus fete nine pre-puberty girls, wash and touch their feet, give gifts. They are considered forms of the Mother Goddess. Majority abandon non-vegetarian food. Many fast (like our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who will take only water with sweet lime during this period, no food). But kindly note, there are many sects and views in Hinduism.

From wikipedia: Shakti
Shakti is the concept, or personification, of divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as 'The Great Divine Mother' in Hinduism. As the mother she is known as Adi parashakti, Adi Para Shakti, Adiparashakti or Adishakti. On the earthly plane, Shakti most actively manifests through female embodiment and creativity/fertility, though it is also present in males in its potential, unmanifest form.[2]
Not only is Shakti responsible for creation, it is also the agent of all change. Shakti is cosmic existence as well as liberation, its most significant form being the Kundalini Shakti,[3] a mysterious psychospiritual force.[4]
In Shaktism and Shaivism, Shakti is worshipped as the Supreme Being. Shakti embodies the active feminine energy of Shiva and is identified as Tripura Sundari or Parvati.

So the really big "honcho" is of the female persuasion :) . Too cool! Your input was helpful Aupmanyav.

Can a personality watch over a person? In my faith, since this is comparative religion, the Law is what guides not watches over you you. Not a personality, which is weird nor a being. "The breathe of life", not the breathe of a person.

I dont see how that make sense. Please explain.

God is a being who cares for you or doesn't like you very much.

Folks who tend to go on and on about god serve merely to point out that they still know relatively little about reality.

What? Me worry?
To have the best relationship with God you have to realize he is a personality and watching/creating you right now.

Actually, IMHO, to have the best relationship with God is to realize that you are an integral part of the same God that you seek to find and/or understand. You cannot separate God from anything else and still be talking about God. You cannot say "...God is this, but not that..." Therefore you can't say God has a personality because you are saying God is like this but not like that. God has to be all things, including you and your personality. Having said this you have to realize also that God, being all things, is not only what we call good but also what we deem bad. Those with the best relationship with God are those that choose to reflect the "good" side of an absolute deity.
