The Andromeda Galaxy is moving towards us, so that's a group of quite a few stars that is blueshifted.

That's all you need. One example.

(I personally don't believe that earth is the center of the universe, and I don't believe Christians need it to be. Earth is the center of the universe in God's eyes, and that's all that matters. But I do enjoy stimulating minds and showing ways of thinking things through.)

In the example given above, with a constantly expanding universe (which of course is unprovable), and galaxies constantly rotating as the expansion occurs, it's inevitable that stars in all galaxies will at some point be moving toward us.

It's also possible that if earth is the center of the universe, the same would happen. Therefore it's impossible either way for all heavenly bodies to be in red shift. I posited the question to see if the forum participants think through their own answers.

Wherever you are in the Universe would be the center from a matter of perspective.

A proof from the quran that the universe created by God

Quoted From my thread "the seven heavens"

The given data from the quran

And they demand of thee to hasten the chastisement! God will not fail His promise; and surely a day with thy Lord is as a thousand years of your counting.(22:47)

And We have built above you seven firmaments, (78:12)

Strive with one another in hastening toward forgiveness from your Lord and toward
a Garden whereof the width is as the width of the heavens and the earth,
gotten ready for those who beiieve in Allah and His apostles. This is the grace of
Allah; He vouchsafeth It Unto whomsoever He will; and Allah is Owner of mighty
grace. (57:21)

So from the verses we got the following data

  • 1 day is equal to 1000 years of ours

  • Our heaven consist of seven layers above us

  • The diameter of the paradise is equal to the width of earth plus heaven
.

Let's do some math.

First we'll have the size of the paradise knowing that 1 day is equavalent
to 1000 years of ours.

24 hrs to complete one cycle (40000 km) for earth
8640000 hours to complete one cycle (Unknown) for Paradise

We got the circumference of the Paradise to be 14400000000 Km

Let's now have the size of the paradise by knowing its width (Earth+heaven)

The approx width from earth to the edge of our solar system is about
4500000000 Km

The circumference of Paradise = π X d
= 3,14 X 4500000000Km
= 14130000000 Km

Comparing the 2 results

In first method, the paradise = 14400000000 Km
In second method, the paradise= 14130000000 Km

Accuracy rate = 97.7 %

The exact width between earth and heaven should be about 4.583 billion km according to method one.

Compare this to the average distance between earth and the last planet Neptune which is 4.564 billion km

How far is Neptune from Earth
